Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku has says independence for mostly ethnic-Albanian Kosovo of Serbia's government in Belgrade is near.
"A great dream of independence is close and it is only months away," said Ceku Monday in his regular weekly address in Kosovo, Serbia's southern province whose population of 1.8 million is 90 percent ethnic-Albanian........

Kosovo will become a major theater of conflict in the near future if this abomination is born.

There is another possibility. Albanian Muslims are under delusion that Kosovo is extremely valuable to them. It is not.
The value of Kosovo is based on the Serbian Orthodox holy places and historical monasteries. The Serbs by valuing it so much, influence Albanian Muslim imagination.
Once Serbs and their monuments are eradicated, Kosovo will become KosovA - a bleak destitute and lawless place from which Albanians will migrate to greener pastures of European Union welfare state and to America.
So, after Kosovo is abandoned, the rightful owners will be able to slowly return and rebuilt.
I suspect the muslims intend to use Kosovo as they do checnya; as a hub to traffic terrorists and their gear between the middle east and europe.

The international community will keep giving it many millions year after year; they will be continually propped up with foreign money and U.S. or EU occupying trops will probably be there for decades.

I'm pretty certain they are doing exactly that right now.
It is not just Muslim thing, look at criminal unrecognized states of Transdnistria, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. International community should get over and bring those criminals to justice. All of them!
Actually smuggling Al Qaeda into and out of Europe is pretty much a Muslim thing, being AL QAEDA and all.
Abkhazia and South Ossetia should be joined with Russia and not the opressive regime which is currently fighting them.
I mean, what you might do, is freeze dry the bodies of fifteen or twenty pigs, and then somehow or other pulverize the freeze dried material into microscopically fine powder, and somehow or other devise some sort of a compressed air bomb which, blown off at altitude, would saturate the entire land it was blown off over with pork dust so that nobody living anywhere close could hope to remain uncontaminated.
Kosovo would be as good a place as any to test such a thing.
My bet is that it will happen.
It will set a precedent around the world that will reward ethnic/religious/criminal minorities that terrorize their way into being the majority of a specific plot of land.

From what I understand, it's already doing that duty. As well as a conduit for white slavery and the mafia-backed black market.
I don't know -- those Trepca Mines seem to have some financial value.
But if nothing else, an Albanian Kosovo would stand as an important precendent in the Balkans for "how to succeed at stealing land from a country" -- and that alone would be of great value as "a blueprint" any other Islamic narco-terror cartel in the world!
