TEHRAN, Iran - The president of Iran again lashed out at Israel on Friday and said it was "heading toward annihilation," just days after Tehran raised fears about its nuclear activities by saying it successfully enriched uranium for the first time.

Has anyone heard anything

Has anyone not heard? Khomeini was supposed to be the 12th imam returned. Maybe that was a little premature. The moslem apocalypse is far more imaginative and detailed than anybody else's apocalypse.

I'll let you tell that to those who will be effected by it.

I'm not anti nuke by any means, but I do know the seriousness of it.

I find myself thinking of the old Civil Defense days of the Cuban Missle Crisis.

As dangerous as this world is, I thought I would never again feel that type of fear. I am not afraid---but I can feel the emotion stirring.

I know there are many who would give up their lives to kill this man--they serve us with honor every day. Do I have that bravery or courage? No, I am ashamed to say.

They've only said they were doing exactly that, I dunno, a few hundred times, maybe?

It amazes me that people reflexively refuse to take these murderous fanatics at their word that they do in fact intend murder.

it's going to take something unspeakable to open our eyes.

$3 gasoline? Oh, wait, already got that and everybody is still business as usual.

He believes he's been chosen by Allah to bring about the return of the 12 Imam, which is the first sign of their version of the apocalypse. That's my understanding of it.

I am starting to fear that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon specifically for use against Israel. Contextually, that's how I would interpret these comments.

Here's something I posted in another thread that addresses this concern:

To: Billthedrill
Is this guy actually trying to sound like Hitler?

Yes. He is, really. Literally. Actually.

He thinks it will earn him respect from the rest of the world. To him, it is SO "natural" and "normal" to despise the Jews with such a visceral hatred, that he assumes EVERYONE feels the same way, but only HE has the "courage" to speak the words.

Truly pathological dynamics going on there -- but that's NOT what scares me the most.

What I am MOST concerned with is something that hit me like a ton of bricks last night, when all the pieces suddenly fell together.

Some items for your consideration:

* The stories about Iranian acquisition of working tactical nukes appear to be more credible by the day -- and the MSM and government are running from the story like the plague. The "Government-Press Complex" is in full-run-away mode from that report.

* Iran allegedly "produces refined uranium", and thus, "has joined the nuclear club" (code for "has the bomb"). The government produces an macabre circus, with dancers prancing about with (alleged) containers of uranium, as the nation is whipped into a "Hitler in the Square" froth, their confidence bolstered by the state, the uranium, and, said in all but word, "the bomb."

* A couple of days later (today), the "twelver" lunatic running the country starts issuing unambiguous threats to Israel.

Now, here's how I see it. "YMMV", but I suggest considering what I am about to say before dismissing it. The way I see it, He's HAD "the bomb" all along -- quite a few of them. He needed to buy time to get them fitted to his delivery systems (note the reports of expensive nosecone retrofitting work they performed recently). He needed time to get the "fine details" worked out, so that the warheads could be mounted, target systems programmed (balanced for the new throw-weight), etc., etc., etc.

So, he bought time. He played the old "Maybe I'll negotiate, OK? No, wait -- you offended me! I will NOT negotiate. Oh, you come sucking up to me? OK, good -- we negotiate. Wait! You offend me again, negotiations off! Ah, good, you come to senses. OK, negotiations back on -- but new groundrule -- Iran makes no concessions -- WEST makes ALL concessions. OK? OK! Let's negotiate! What, YOU won't negotiate? Well, maybe I reconsider. OK, I reconsidered. I will negotiate. But wait, you offend me AGAIN..."

You'd think "The West" would tire of this song and dance, but no, we let him drag things out, running us back and forth in the double-corner of the checkerboard.

He kept it up as long as he needed to keep it up, to buy time to get his "stuff" done.

Then, he became suddenly even MORE belligerent.

Now, he has his ducks in a row -- but, he needs a cover story. I mean, he's all along said that Iran had no nukes, and no nuclear ambitions, other than electricity generation.

His intended audience -- the uneducated "masses" of the Middle East -- are not going to know a few milligrams of mildly refined uranium from a multi-kilogram "soccerball" quantity necessary for an explosion. And, if you note his delivery at "The Circus", he presented it in terms of "Now we have THE goods!"

He worked to create the impression that now that Iran is "in the nuclear club" -- and "proved" it by having his dancers scamp about with the Precious Goods held treasured in their hands -- his people are supposed to think that, wow, he has THE uranium! Now, any time he wants, he can put it into the bombs, and destroy the infidel!

Yes, I know. This is stupid, puerile BS -- but that's the level that Middle Eastern propaganda operates on. Remember the "documentary film" showing how Those Filthy Jews murdered Sweet Young Arab Boys to drain their blood to make Matzoh? Tell me THAT is any LESS stupid and puerile!

So, it's a good cover story (in his twisted little mind). He shoots off his warheads, and then tells his people, "I never thought I would need to do this, but praise to allah, I had this uranium, you see, and the need was great, so I ordered our scientists to put the uranium into the bombs, so that we could cleans the world of the Zionist Entity, and..."

Yes, it's worse than the worst comicbook drivel. But, he'll try something like that -- and his audience likely WILL lap it up.

To his mind, he has covered all the bases. He eliminated any stories about his having purchased the nukes, since he has now "revealed" that Iran, "new member of the nuclear club", was forced to take their uranium (the uranium -- all of a few milligrams of it -- held up as if it was the Flag at Iwo Jima), and put it into "the bombs."

In the process, he "proves" that "Iran really DOES know how to make the uranium!", and, ensures the fealty of his subjects, and the admiration of "The Arab Street" (even though as a Persion, he despises Arabs -- and vice-versa.)

In short (yay! :) I see MAJOR Ugly Quotient potential shaping up. And I think that's why OUR side is acting a bit out of sorts. They know we are poised on the cusp of something potentially VERY ugly.

I think it entirely possible for the nukes to start flying at any time -- ANY time -- with no warning.

I hope the USA is able to deliver a killing blow BEFORE that happens.

Shovels can make a functional fallout shelter very quickly. It would help if everybody already had theirs dug, roofed, and stocked with water and food for a month, but there will still be time to dig after the detonations. Water might be a problem if they wait.

They're using the Palestinians cynically. A regime motivated by blind Jew hatred is not going to allow a scruple such as a regard for Muslim life to stand in the way of their objective. Just look how little regard the Muslims have for each other's lives in Iraq. They may hate each other but they hate Jews most of all.

They will just consider them "involuntary martyrs". It wouldn't be the first time. I recall reading that several of the 9/11 terrorists were NOT told they were going on a suicide mission when they boarded the planes. The "leaders" thought it was hilarious that the idiots obediently climbed on, thinking that they'd be going home at the end of a day's work.

"If these hard headed towel heads"

By definition a "towel head" can't also be a "hard head".

Methinks the president of Iran is rather a little too soft in the head!

There is something in our national psyche about a good "little guy" being picked on by a bad "big guy". It's very well ingrained -- probably a cultural memory from the revolutionary war. Thus many here view citizens from the USA and Israel as "brothers to the bone". Religion adds even more to the mix -- but I think it's mainly about our inherent interest in fair play and standing up against evil.

After the Holocaust, Jews worldwide swore that they would never let anything like that happen to them again. Israel will not cower in the face of such worthless human debris as the Iranians or any other Middle Eastern garbage.

I thought perhaps Iran already had the nukes, this was just a dog and pony show. I also thought it was my ignorance of the details and quickly pushed it out of my mind.

Thanks--- I won't be falling asleep so easily tonight!

Has anyone heard anything about this nutbag's obsession with the "12th Imam?

I didn't do a search on it - I am sure one would turn up lots of hits as that has been widely reported.
