The shocking demands of illegal immigrants

Euphemisms mask scorn for American law, sovereignty

Across the country Monday, illegal immigration supporters brought the first signs of sophistication to their massive demonstrations. Their "National Day of Action" featured marchers in white T-shirts waving American flags. The Mexican flags and cries of "Viva Mexico!" that dominated previous rallies -- and infuriated American citizens who want immediate border enforcement -- were much less common. Signs were written in English, the language of the majority.

"The goal is to show Congress and the media and the White House that we can organize ourselves, because we have not been very well-organized in the past," Juan Carlos Ruiz, who coordinated Monday's march in Washington, D.C., told the San Jose Mercury News.

In other cities, peaceful rallies emphasized a "campaign for dignity" and the need for "comprehensive" reforms.

Such euphemisms, like Monday's signs reading "God bless America" and "We have a dream," are deliberately ambiguous. Organizers wanted the marches to be more about people and less about policy. Most television stations swallowed the bait and delivered news reports soft enough to follow "Sesame Street" on PBS.

The reason for such an approach is obvious: If marchers made their demands the clear centerpiece of protests, the outcry from American taxpayers already fed up with the costs of illegal immigration would overwhelm the previously full mailboxes of every member of Congress

I saw a kid on the news yesterday explaining "we just want to scare them" when talking about why they're marching.

Well isn't that sweet, rule through intimidation brought from whatever latin American hellhole they crawled out of.

The United States government has an obligation to its citizens to control who enters the country. Disingenuous displays of patriotism by illegals and their supporters will never change that.

Excellent article, thanks.

"and the need for "comprehensive" reforms."

"Reforms"?

What, pray tell, needs "reforming"? Our existing laws, which make these people ILLEGAL? The welfare system, which already subsidizes these people?

We've been giving the farm away for so long, they now think they're entitled, and are now protesting in the streets.

Any bets on how long before theres open warfare in the streets?

The kids are really brainwashed, partly due to the schools, of course, but partly due to the endless propagandizing on Hispanic radio. My own students here in L.A. blithely assure me that immigrants are just "fighting for their rights."

I say, "Right to what?"

Kid has no idea.

I say, "What exactly is a right, anyway?"

Kid goes blank.

"Where do rights come from?" I ask.

Kid starts grinning sheepishly.

I say, "Do the Armenians have a right to go to Mexico and tell the Mexicans that they need to educate his kids for free?"

Kid shakes his head.

"So you don't really know what you mean at all, do you?"

Kid shakes his head.

"That's what I thought. Now spit your gum out and have a seat, please."

Back in the 80s and through the early 90s I lived in Las Vegas. To this day it's the only city I've lived in that I actually miss. I met my wife there, two of my children were born there. We left because of another opportunity.

I talked to a senior, over the phone at work the other day, and he was practically in tears telling me how illegals have ruined Las Vegas. He kept saying over and over "I'm too old now but you younger people have to do something about this." He told me that Las Vegas has "become East LA." That there are many home invasions, thousands of illegals hanging out at 7-11s for construction work, increased robberies, illegals fleeing the sites of auto accidents and such.

He also mentioned that American construction workers, who used to make $25 an hour, had been replaced by illegals making $10 and that the work, for the most part, was shoddy.

In essence, he said I would not recognize the place. He said I should tell everyone I know that we need to "save the American Dream," that he had known. He kept saying "you younger people" (I'm not that young).

I hope others recognize the danger involved with this problem and that, as loyal American citizens, we combat it in the same tradition the generations before us combatted problems that seemed insurmountable. I hope we don't let that old guy in "Lost" Vegas down.

I say, "Do the Armenians have a right to go to Mexico and tell the Mexicans that they need to educate his kids for free?"

That's an excellent point, and a great tool, turning it around like that.

Neil Boortz has it right so far as he goes on the illegal alien situation. Felonizing illegals will only succeed in building mostly unenforceable laws in a manner that will energize the left like nothing else has in a long time.

Doing the practical:

Build the wall- a REAL wall with all the "virtual" wall characteristics included with the concrete and concertina.

Make it a federal felony punishable with fines-per-day and jail time for any individual to employ illegals or hire them for employment.

Boortz PLUS my thoughts:

Make it a federal felony for any clerk or agent to recruit, sign up or otherwise enable an illegal alien to receive taxpaid benefits of any sort, including school administrators AND teachers, though teachers should be limited to misdemeanor or civil penalties if teachers take illegal students pursuant to assignment by a principal or school board.

Parents of anchor babies to be deported immediately and given the choice of taking their babies with them or leaving them to have their names changed, their paperwork anonymized, and adoption out.

Make an identified illegal alien forever inelligible for citizenship. All illegals should be fingerprinted and DNAed upon any interaction with any LEO or Immigration authority.

Allow any illegal alien unhindered egress to Mexico, regardless of nationality.

Make it illegal for any government (at any level) to publish or issue any thing in any language other than English.- Make no restrictions on language use for any private entity except in its dealings with government or on any private charity in its dealings for and with illegals except that illegals aided must be registered with Immigration.

Now the improbable:

ENFORCE THE LAW !!!!

Yeah, the Mexicans are kind of racist about Armenians sometimes, as there is a large Armenian contingent here. So I kind of played on his prejudices a little. (evil smile.)

This is nothing short of what Hitler did to Czechoslovakia in 1938 with the Sudetenland. He claimed that the Sudentenland belonged to Germany and sent his agents into the region to stir up trouble. Within the year, Czechoslovakia as a whole fell to Hitler.

Reconquista (Mexico)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Originally applied to the 700 year effort to retake Iberia from the Islamic Moors, Reconquista today refers to an explicit agenda of M.E.Ch.A. (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) to retake lands from the U.S. which once belonged to Mexico. This would include Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and parts of Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, and Oklahoma, all of which were ceded by Mexico under terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848.

The primary method for this 'reconquest' is demographic. By means of legal and illegal immigration from Mexico and Central America, and by means of high birthrates among non-White Hispanics, the non-non-White Hispanic population will be reduced to a minority which can be voted out of power and influence. While nominally nonviolent this will force African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Native-Americans and European-Americans out of what will be called Aztlan.

Reconquista is not integrationist or assimilationist, but rather is separatist and explicitly racial. M.E.Ch.A.'s motto translates as, 'Everything for the race. Nothing outside the race.'

When you hear VIVA LA RAZA this is what it means.

Hard working Americans have asked for tax relief for years and I guess the illegals will get what they want long before those of us paying the bills see anything of what we want.
