ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Racist, sexist and disparaging comments on a Montgomery County police union Web site have some police officers calling on union and department officials to take steps to curb the name-calling.

Some officers complain that the union has refused to require officers to identify themselves on the web site, a step they say would lead to more civil discussions. Commanders, meanwhile, could restrict access to the site from department computers.

Did you know there were so many FReepers in liberal Montgomery County?

LOL!

It would be nice if they would come out and give you (and us) a hand.

On the issue of cops speaking their "inner feelings" on the FOP forum, it says alot about morale in MoCoPD. The politicians treat them like their personal waterboys, force them to deal with ridiculous PC crap, and won't back them up if they have a problem. No wonder they're blowing off steam online. Better online than on the street, I guess.

Could it be that those of Hispanic origin and who are also here illegally are posing the biggest problems for the LEOs?

A little local history:

30+ years ago, tranquil and prosperous Montgomery County was a cush job for county police, certainly when compared to adjacent Prince George's County, which was awash in racial tensions and criminality pouring out of Northeast DC.

Even Takoma Park which is directly adjacent to NE DC and is also in Montgomery County remained quiet, pleasant and sedate. From top to bottom, Mongomery County was an easy job to police, and you could tell it when you were pulled-over for a broken taillamp and treated with respect (even to us teenagers back then)

Flip to now, and the county is awash (like everywhere else) in illegal aliens, who BTW have completely subsumed Takoma Park. "No hablo Ingles".

It's a completely different world for Montgomery County LEO's, even as the ultra-liberal denizens of the county are trying madly to keep their eyes wide shut to their exploding illegal alien problem.

If they want they can show up in support and protest on the Bill O Reilly Factor

when honorable cops like this become victims.

But if they are really tough then they can bad mouth their supervisors on Cable News -- all the way up the ladder to this guy.

RIP Donald Young

I agree with you, the business owners should pay what is due -- so that the Legals can have a job.

But this all presumes that the Illegal business owners that do only CA$H jobs get deported.

The site has been blocked from all county computers.
