Wear those glasses that contain a tiny video camera and strap a VR under your right armpit.

If you get caught, whip out your lifetime pass to the Reagan Library, claim you have a concealed carry permit and plea the First and Fifth Amendments.

I really don't see what either of them has to gain from doing this. Well, aside from the financial compensation...

Al's only chance is to an audience that will boisterously cheer him on and shout Ann down.

Otherwise he is dog meat.

That was his strategy in a PREVIOUS match-up with Ann.

I figure what's the point?
No matter how Ann counters him, Al's not going to learn anything; he is not going to change.

And I'd be willing to bet that the folks in the audience that actually pay to see this show are the types that will be so polarized one way or the other that they'll walk out of there not being the least bit swayed, either. The show amounts to nothing more than a calculated "smackdown" between two people who will continue to vehemently defend their respective positions, because that is what they do for a living, it is presumably what the audience wants to see, and they are in the show to make money. Or am I being too cynical?

I wouldn't pay to see this. Can't stand to listen to Al for even a few seconds, for one reason. And Ann gets a bit too loud and strident, and talks really fast, rolls her eyes constantly and interrupts like crazy, when she gets on a roll. I agree with her, but I have to say she annoys me too.

It would be worth the admission just to see Al's head fly off and sparks erupt from his neck!

I really don't see what either of them has to gain from doing this.

Well, aside from the financial compensation...

From www.hob.com/venues/concerts/gibson/seating.asp:

Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal CityWalk seating
general capacity seating

6,189 seats (with general admission Orchestra Pit)
6,089 seats (without general admission Orchestra Pit)

reduced capacity intimate seating

Approximately 3,900 seats

Let's see...
What is $75 x 3,900?

This is likely to be very annoying.

Frankenfraud will resort to the tried-and-true lefty tactics of talking/yelling over Ann, answering a question with a question, the condescending laugh (when he has no good answer), changing subjects when cornered, etc. etc.

Hopefully, Ann will walk over to his podium and knock him on his ass. That's about all I can see that would make this worth the effort of going.

MIDI - IF MY FRIENDS COULD SEE ME NOW

I am a fool but I won't quit
If you're not brain dead you know that I'm full of it
Some know me from the radio
There are times at some appearances when I refuse to go

If they could see me now while I'm up on the stage
I'm spewing lots of hatred in a vicious rage
I'll keep on speaking 'cause it's all about me
I really want the whole wide world to see

If they could see me now I hope they'd understand
I want to hear them tell me that I am the man
They can all scream that I'm nuts
My name is Al Franken...if my friends could see me now

If they could see me now I think they'd be impressed
For comic relief maybe I will get undressed
I'd have 'em rolling, they'd be shouting for more
There is no way that they would show me the door

If they could see me now I hope they'd understand
I want to hear them tell me that I am the man
They can all scream that I'm nuts
My name is Al Franken...if my friends could see me now

If they could see me now get in a shouting match
The guys in white suits would find I am hard to catch
Is there a rubber room that's waiting for me?
The mental ward will have me on the marquis

If they could see me now I hope they'd understand
I want to hear them tell me that I am the man
They can all scream that I'm nuts
My name is Al Franken...if my friends could see me now

That would be a good thing, if the mods actually give Ann a chance to dissemble Frankenstein...

ANN COULTER AND AL FRANKEN JUST DUKED IT OUT IN HARTFORD
From that "previous encounter" thread:
To: RaceBannon

All reputable sources say that Ann TOTALLY SMOKED AL FRANKEN!! The RAT crowd was against her, but Ann calmly stood her ground and cut franken to pieces. She handled loaded questions with the cool demeanor of a wild west gunslinger. Franken, on the other hand, was left with some tired lefty cliches. The mob was always shamed into silence whenever Ann spoke the truth and knocked their agruments to the ground. The Rats were on the run and the Queen was kicking ass and taking names. This was yet another big win for the good guys and you can bet that Franken and Rats will not want to meet Ann anytime soon.

The best line of the night was when Coulter zinged the Rats by saying that if she could be anyone in history, it would be FDR so she could stop the New Deal. The Rats hissed and glowered but they knew that resistance to the Queen was futile. She crushed them and that's simply the way it went.
