Teachers are supposed to be protective of their students -- the in locus parentis. They should be punished more severely than ordinary adult pedophiles, because of the trust they betrayed.

Clearly she is not innocent, and I think that at the time no one was feeling particularly guilty. She was hot, he was hormonaly. In both cases, decision-making ability was severely impaired.
