March 10, 2006 -- Mayor Bloomberg yesterday all but fired Imam Umar Abdul-Jalil as head of ministerial services at the city's Department of Correction. But no honor accrues to the mayor: He had no choice.
Abdul-Jalil was iced after The Post revealed a series of hate-laced public remarks from the imam last year.
"We know that the greatest terrorists in the world occupy the White House," Abdul-Jalil was caught on tape saying.
He insisted Muslims are being "set up" - jailed just because they're Muslims and tortured in government prisons. "Zionists" are manipulating the news.

What are these people thinking? Is fear making them listen to these haters and only removing them when the public gets wind of them? Is there no vetting process?
If this is an example from those hired to protect us, we are doomed.
Who appointed this clown to be Head of Ministerial Services? Given that terrorists, I mean Islamics, are far in the minority to other religions in the prison system, what is being done about this bonehead's lack of ability to 'minister' to the majority whose beliefs are in opposition to him?
Somebody call the Washington Post and get a name. Enough PC BS for 1000 years, I swear.
Is anyone really surprised about this? Most people have known they have been recruiting in prisons for years.
Just shows how infiltrated our prison system is. Great combo -- criminals + radical Islam = Jihadists.
