This guy is trying to compare Christians to Muslims. Exactly, and to let people see how we civilized people behave when offended.
I think the actions of this newspaper took courage.
I don't have to like what they say, or how they say it, but I have to defend their right to do so.

It looks like someone has been taking Mike Adams' advise in his "The Queer Muhammed" piece to heart!

Well the editors of The Strand were asking if the cartoon was offensive and I was indicating that would depend on the kind of kiss. "Tongue action" as in French kissing or a little friendship peck, you know? They do French kiss in Canada, don't they?

They do French kiss in Canada, don't they? LOL!
Yes, but only while they're in Quebec.
When they travel outside their province it's strictly prohibited.

Actually the Muslims could very easily take offense, in that the artist was comparing their prophet to Judas. However, knowing the level of intelligence of the average liberal college student today, they couldn't possibly be aware of the symbolism of kissing Jesus.

Okay, as a Christian, I find the cartoon offensive.
I also, however, know that not everyone is bound by my beliefs, nor should they be restricted from or punished for offending me.
Poll that.

It looks to me like Jesus is kissing Muhammad. However you spell it.
An example of "Love your enemies"
Judas kissed Jesus on the cheek to show the enemy who Jesus was in the crowd.
Now we see the cartoon symbolizing Jesus pointing out who the enemy is with a kiss.
Completely turning around the Judas kiss and using the same method to show who the real enemy is.
I made all of that up (MSU) but it seems to make sense to me...

It seems to me like this is intended to be a slap to the Christians, as it appears that Jesus is kissing mohammed. Even though Jesus is God of love, He is also God of justice. It would imply that Jesus condones mohammeds lies and violence. And then there is the chicken way of implying that it is mohammed, without showing his face.
Total idiotic cowards who are not afraid to slander the murderous, rioting Christians and yet always appease islam, the religion of peace.

"He said the cartoon was intended to provoke debate, dialogue, and thought, and should not be understood to promote violence or hate."I guess it doesn't dawn on him that Christianity isn't intended to promote violence or hate either, but that hasn't kept many a Wahabbist from going out on a violent rage when they are provoked to debate, dialogue and think about persons who disaparge the person they condier to be their Prophet. The cartoon, IMHO is good for nothing other than to fan dissent.
