Mitricula Card issued at Colorado Public Library
KHOW Talk Radio | Feb 10,2006 | Peter Boyle talk radio

According to Peter Boyle, Denver KHOW talk show host, a portable Mexican consulate is issuing Matricula Cards at the Pikes Peak Library in Colorado Springs, CO.

One caller related how she had attempted to apply for a card, but she is blonde and a citizen and, she claimed, profiled. She was even denied application forms.

Callers on the whole were outraged that a public supported agency was facilitating Ids for illegal aliens.

TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: aliens; immigrantlist; mitriculacard; publiclibrary
A lot of the callers suggested showing up at the library or calling newspapers, TV and even the Pikes Peak library.

Come to Oregon. The State has been sponsoring these things for a long time. At taxpayer expense. Remember to Salute the Mexican flag and chant to the united Republik of Oregon as you enter.

How does a U.S. citizen get a Mexican Matricula card? I didn't think that was possible. Why would they give her an application?

"How does a U.S. citizen get a Mexican Matricula card?"

Mexico recognizes anyone born in Mexico or whose mother was a Mexican citizen as a Mexican citizen, even if you hold US citizenship.

(I know this because you have to be a Mexican citizen to own real estate in Mexico. My good Sephardic Jewish mama was born in Mont., Mexico because grandpa was running a steel plant at the time! Came in handy when I wanted to buy cheap beachfront property.)

Or, if not so lucky, use a forged birth certificate which you can obtain for $25.00 on Alvarado Blvd in the Mac Arthur Park section of L.A. The Mexican Consulate does not verify the information on the birth certificate.

She probably has as much identification proving her Mexican citizenship as the average Illegal does.

Sounds like discrimination to me.

So a Matricula Card would not be given to a US citizen of Mexican origin, but only to illegals that break federal law. Mexicans with green cards do not need a card, so this is a blatant ficilitation of law breaking by a public agency. Let them rent a store front and stay out of public funded facilities.

A Matricula card gives you a lot of advantages including a bank account where you can hide money from the IRS. No SS# needed.

This is far from the first time that a Mexican consulate (we are blighted with 50 of them) has been hosted on the taxpayer's property in order to sell (25$) their Matricula Consular cards. THIS STINKS! This subversive consulate should be denied all public American property and be forced to rent a place. Actually these cards should be banned nationwide by Federal law but the hacks in DC don't care.

Why on earth would the Mexican consulate know or care about such a thing?  Millions of Mexicans here are US citizens and Mexican citizens at the same time. I'm sure hundreds of thousands of them get a Matricula Consular card. Imagine you are pulled over by the cops. You present your MC card and not your drive's license. Handy for opening up bank accounts without SS# too. You and I have to give an SS#. That bank account without SS# would come in real handy for hiding assets from your wife, IRS, welfare authorities etc. The real fun begins when you get a bunch of phony MC cards in other people's names

SO WRONG!

Is this PUBLIC library actually giving permiting a piece to be used as FOREIGN SOIL? Do those workers issuing this Mexic government (fake passport) ID's have diplomatic immunity.

Lets face it, the Consular ID card is a way for mexico to disregard their obligation under treaty with regards to passports.

If a mexican has a valid mexican passport then there is no legal reason for this ID. The reason for the Matricula card is to BYPASS the tracking of illegal entries. The public library is facilitating FELONIES.
