Did Castro Kill Kennedy?
Media Monitor ^ | 2/2/2006 | Roger Aronoff

Compelling new evidence of a Cuban Communist role in the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy has come to light, but has received little attention in the U.S. media.

It comes at a time when there has been renewed interest in the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II and the alleged Soviet role behind that.

SNIP

In the Kennedy matter, the big news comes from a German TV documentary that claims that the Cuban government was behind the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald. The film is called "Rendezvous With Death," by award winning director Wilfried Huissman. It took five years to make, and reports suggest that it makes a compelling case.

Among those talking on camera is Oscar Marino, a former Cuban intelligence agent. He says that the Cubans wanted Kennedy dead because he had opposed the Cuban revolution, and had tried to have Castro assassinated. Marino told Huissman that he knew for certain that the Cuban secret service G2 had carried out and financed the operation, though he wouldn't say if Castro had directly ordered it. But under Castro's brutal dictatorship, which has endured for nearly half a century, it is not conceivable that this would have happened without his blessing. As Marino described it, Oswald "was so full of hate, he had the idea. We used him."

According to Marino, the Cubans contacted Oswald after being tipped off by their patrons, the Soviet KGB. Oswald had lived there for three years after deserting from the U.S. military. There he married the niece of a KGB colonel. He was allowed to return to the U.S. and bring his wife with him. He continued to call himself a Communist, and demonstrated on behalf of Cuba.

This is b.s. Oswald didn't know Kennedy would be coming to Dallas, let alone his route, when he took the job at the Book Depository. It was a matter of looser being in the "right" place at the right time.

I used to be a big fan of JFK conspiracies. Now, I believe in the "lone loser" theory. I guess, in a way, one could tie in Castro, in that Oswald was a Castro-ite. But all that happened was that Oswald did Castro a favor.

If some lone loser took out Chavez, lots of people in the USA would probably drink a toast, but that would not necesarily mean that the USA (or Pat Robertson) had anything to do with it.

You're bad,dv!

Now,as for this who killed Kennedy repeating "Ground Hog Day" fixation.

Once and for all, it was George Hickey with one shot to the head with the AR-15 from the jumpseat of the followup car.

That is all.Carry on! :)

What I've heard and read on the subject tells me that Castro and the Mafia are the two most logical suspects.

Bill Bonanno, son of Godfather Joe Bonanno from one of the biggest New York mob families, has written a book where he says his father told him that his guys killed Kennedy. Apparently it was partly payback for Bobby Kennedy coming down so hard on them as AG after they had helped get Jack elected (Joe Senior had called in some favors with his old partners). Killing Bobby would only have made the heat worse, but taking out JFK would effectively end Bobby's reign as AG since Johnson hated his guts.

Was Castro prepared to do business with the mafia?

From what I understand, following the assassination attempts on his own life, Castro would do business with anyone to get Kennedy. And he had something the Mafia of the day wanted badly, a secure base for transshipping drugs into the US, particularly from Central and South America. And Castro would get hard currency and help in getting items that the embargo kept out of his hands.

They each got what they wanted in Kennedy's death and their cooperation on that cemented the deal for doing business going forward.

Add to that logical framework the info that there was a known Mafia hit man identified as being in the train yards behind the "grassy knoll" in Dealey Plaza (there is a lot of smoke surrounding this story, but it checks against known facts). That hit man is Woody Harrelson's father (yep, that moonbat Woody Harrelson). Charles Harrelson is now serving a life term for assassinating a judge in a drug related mob hit. He is suspected in several other contract killings. When he was arrested for killing the judge he confessed to having killed Kennedy, though he later retracted that statement.

This is actually the version of these events that make the most sense to me. I also think the Warren Commission knew that Castro was at least involved, if not the prime mover of the assassination. But they had to cover that up to avoid WW3. If they had put forward evidence, even circumstantial, that Castro was behind the assassination the American people would have demanded that we nuke his sorry ass. And the Soviets probably convinced Johnson, who had no love for President Kennedy, that they would retaliate if we took any action, let alone that.

I wonder if the evidence will, in fact, be released in the next few years. Wasn't the evidence sealed for 50 years?

Now, Castro had no reason to go after MLK or RFK, but the mob did have reasons for hating RFK and fearing him if he got elected in '68. However, the PLO got there first. And MLK was a straight up murder for hire by one of Robert Byrds fellow travelers.

I know about this and have always suspected Woody's career was a reward to Charles Harrelson for his loyalty and silence. You know, like Frankie Fountaine.

I grew up in El Paso in the 70's and know of thes people like the Chagras and Harrelson. I hung out with Lee Chagra's cute niece when I was a teen.

"At the time of his death, Bobby was highly critical of the war his brother got the U.S. embroiled in."

We had military advisors in country starting with Ike (not starting with Kennedy).

I met Bob Vernon here in Houston when he was here back in 1996? Cant remember exactly. He was living on the northwest side of town and invited me over to his house to view the film he had of James Files at that time and he also showed me the .222 shell casing. I have always been interested in the JFK assasination and found his evidence to be very compelling. I found him to be friendly,a little paranoid and willing to share his story with me. He moved to California a little while after that. I have kept up with his efforts and have yet to find ANYONE who could CREDIBLY dispute his case for James Files.

Go here and read the actual record of "Magic Bullet Arlen" taking depositions from the Parkland folks who found the (pristine) "Magic Bullet". Ol' "Scottish Law Spector" set an all-time record for leading the witnesses and for putting his own words in their mouths.

Talk about "bottom-feeding lawyer" behavior! Spector's tactics -- if nothing else -- force me to dismiss the Warren Commission as a blatant cover-up. (...of exactly what, I still don't know...)

That's correct, several hundred. By the day JFK was killed, we had more than 12,000 troops there.

Damned if it doesn't! Looks like he has a .45 Auto in his left hand and squeezes of the head shot. Gonna go to some other Zapruder clips I have and see if I can verify this.
