Raskovic-Ivic Sends Letter To Petersen

Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, president of the Coordination Center for Kosovo and Metohija, asked Søren Jessen Petersen, chief of UNMIK, that he prevents the building of a KLA memorial complex on the lot of the destroyed temple of the Holy Trinity.

In her letter to Petersen, Raskovic-Ivic categorically demands “stopping of this uncivilized act, protection of the interests of the Serbian Orthodox Church and help for it to rebuild the temple of the Holy Trinity”.

“Djakovica municipal authorities and society of war veterans of KLA built a monument to the “heroes of the war” on the lot of temple of Holy Trinity which was destroyed in 1999, and has an intention of building a “memorial complex of KLA war history,” on the same place where the church use to,” said Raskovic in her letter to Petersen.

She also reminded the UNMIK chief that in Djakovica, on 17th of March of 2004, Albanians destroyed the church of Holy Virgin which dates from the 18 century, and that the Serbian Orthodox Church is waiting for its renovation. This church is only couple of hundred meters away from the church of Holy Trinity.

“Belgrade and Kosovo and Metohija Serbs are making great efforts in establishing minimum trust between rivalry ethnic communities with the goal of continuing life with basic elements of respect,” said Raskovic.

She warned that “very often we are witnesses of examples which point that Albanian side has opposite intentions, which demands immediate and more energetic action from UNMIK administration and Petersen himself”.

Tehran -- Monday - Iranian First Vice President Parviz Davoudi on Sunday authorized temporary signing of an agreement on security cooperation between the governments of Iran and Serbia-Montenegro, according to Iranian news agency.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), in response to the proposal of the Ministry of Interior, the secretariat of the government's council for dissemination of information and the cabinet authorized the Ministry of Information to proceed and temporarily ink such an agreement.

The move is in accordance with article 2 of Iran's by-law on drawing up and signing international contracts approved in 1992, reports IRNA.

An absolute outrage, an agregious attempt to erase Serbian history and rewrite Albanina history. The UN should be ashamed of itself for allowing this to happen.

The attempt to erase Serbian history started in the early 90's. History is being rewritten and distorted so that the future history books will be completely wrong.

Something needs to be done as soon as possible.

I never knew about "signing" untill i got this FR post in morning.
Iranian Islamofascists dated jan. 23rd, but I didn`t even saw it on TV.
Fake, Iranians are desperate. Probably they are trying to communicate trough Serbia with West.
That may be the reason.
