The afternoon started with the arrival a small but determined group from the Walter Reed victory on the Friday night. The group contained Apple Blossom, Lurker Bill, Concretebob, Doctor Raoul, Lurker Joan, gate2wire, Lurker George and his wife Ethel, and bmwcyle.
We had a visit by a Vietnam Veteran, who stood on the grassy knoll above the peace-niks. He told them that signs similar to the ones their hands help to kill over 50,000 of his brothers in arms. Also a great mother of a young Marine solder over in Iraq stopped by to show her support.
The cars driving by showed us their support with horns and yells. The weather cleared up but the wind picked up again at the end that knocked down their large banners.
The Freepers arrived first and took the corner. The horns of support started as soon as we hit the intersection. The old hippy from the other side showed up and the rest of the pease-niks followed.
It ended up to be a 9 Freeper to 12 peace-niks.
We stayed on the west corner with about six of them and the rest of them held their big banners on the other side of the east side. We had a few exchanges and Ill leave that for the posts. The grandmother (as she told us her identity) holding the three part banner on our side got her cell phone to call for reinforcements at about 4:00 PM. Grammy didn't like when I told her she danced in the solder's blood everytime she updates the number on her sign.
A few showed up but did not get involved.

Thank you all for the Support in Olney. We will need it in the future. Great pictures you see what we are up against when we are by ourselves.
Thank you again for all you did and are going to do.

Maybe everyone can come over to our house afterthis Saturday's rally for a big pot of stew & buttered rolls around the fireplace this Saturday.
(Lets see how long it takes [Mrs] Trooprally to read my invite!!)
Thanks for all that came out last week. Our numbers are growing and once we get the MOAB up, then we'll start rocking & rolling! As [Mrs] T said, love them pictures.

As it gets warmer and with CB's connections, I'm sure that is doable.

If war is not the answer, they didn't understand the question.
