This particular scam has so many retreads it could scaresly be called a tire any more.
We all have gotten it. Big deal.
Another 419 scammer gets in. This happens from time to time. Looks like he's already been nuked.
Tell him "no deal". Subsequent offers will be larger.
Now that is a dam* good trick.
Now that is a good name for a bank!
"This particular scam has so many retreads it could scaresly be called a tire any more."
What? It's a scam? I've already sent him a donation.
Lookee what I'm in for a piece of! ;-)
Reminds me of Steve Martin's bit about 'Fred's Bank'.
In Rio Vista, CA there was a bank that gave me a chuckle whenever I'd drive by it; "The Bank of Alex Brown".
Hmmmmmm.....
SOME of us do not consider 62 to be aged or old!
I think I'll pass if you don't mind.
You are having altogether too much fun reading this closely :-)
"Dainty Peter??" Little Pr!ck would be more like it.
What a bunch of mothers!!!
Boy, talk about your long good-byes.
One shouldn't respond to these people, even to tell them to buzz off- except where you have a disposable e-mail expressly for the purpose.
With that in mind, I am tempted to insist that if I am such a 'trusted individual of good character' that they'd consider a business transaction of this sort with me over the internet- then they can do it on my terms, or not at all. After all, I'm supposed to be doing *them* the favor. Send a check for the entire amount to this (disposable) PO Box. If the check flies (it won't, nor will it ever be sent), then I will cut the sender in for the agreed amount. If they claim that they need money to grease palms and pay fees, I'd point out that *they're* the ones sending me photographs of steamer trunks full of hundred-dollar bills. Pay them out of that.
Call their bluff.
It amazes me that anyone at all falls for this stuff.
