How has liberalism changed your Christmas?
scarchin

As I struggle with the mini screwdriver needed to turn the mini screw to open the battery packs of my sons' toys, I have to wonder if they are the result of liberalism and the nanny state.
When I was a kid, you just popped open the back of a toy, put in the battery, and played. Now it's like performing surgery. I guess thousand of kids were eating batteries and I just was unaware of it. Thank God the guvmint stepped in and saved me and my children!(/sarc)
Anyway - it got me to thinking...How has liberalism changed Christmas since YOU were a kid?

To be honest not much. I think the screws are in there just because it's a better design. I have a half a dozen battery operated devices around the house with electrical tape in place of the battery back. I wish they'd have come with screws to hold them in, because the fragile tabs didn't hold up well.

Other than the obvious.. everyone over 40 should have been long dead or horribly maimed/disfigured by now.

Liberals and islamonuts have lots in common. Both sit and stew this time of year because they hate this Holiday and the Christians that celebrate it.

The screws are great especially if you are giving one of these toys to a 5 or 6 yr old. The only thing wrong with liberals is they can't leave their hands off of anything and that includes trying to make Christmas PC.

That's what my son said as I was complaining as I searched for a screw driver. It seems it is easier to keep up with the backs.

The realization that liberalism has destoryed the Judeo-Christian work ethic and every day wastes their money and has nothing for their kids and charity.

Whey do they have to screw the toys to the packages though?

There are many that are "so profound and disgusting, that decorum prohibits listing them here."

Hehehehe- you're exactly right- and last night my 14 year-old informed me that he needed a "# 10 torx driver" to fix his X-Box. Bad enough Christmas is commercial- now it's also proprietary. Sigh- stocking -stuffer.

I wouldn't blame the excessive safety conciousness on liberals...its them lawyers and big payouts that did it....you cannot buy anything today without a tome of safety warnings....

I've learned several foreign languages from reading the 100 or so warnings that manufactures have to stick on everything to protect themselves.

Horror of horrors, tinsel used to be made out of real LEAD! Of course none of us thought to chew on it. It sort of reminded one of real icicles and it didn't flap and fall off in the least bit of breeze. Keep your shiny dental floss and give me real tinsel any old Christmas time.

Since discovering Jesus/Yeshua/My Salvation...not liberalism or hell itself can diminish the heaven I have found.

With Him...heaven is not in the future...it is the discovery of Him, our Beloved. The knowledge of Him is impervious to all evil. He is the Sublime. He is Heaven. What could the hereafter be if not Him and the Person He Is.

For those of us that love Him and those that will discover Him in days to come...we have arrived! He is what we seek!

This pumpkin had no screws. He might have been saved.

Think about the pumpkins before criticizing liberals.
