Muslims angered by FBI radiation checks at mosques [Right to bear nuclear bombs under attack]
The Los Angeles Times via The Seattle Times ^ | 12/24/05 | Richard A. Serrano

WASHINGTON — Federal law-enforcement officials said Friday that FBI agents have secretly monitored radiation levels at Islamic mosques, businesses and homes for several years in large cities to determine whether nuclear or chemical bombs were being assembled.

The officials said no suspicious radiation levels have been found.

The disclosure, after the revelation last week that the government has secretly spied on U.S. citizens without court permission, angered a number of U.S. Muslim leaders. They cited a Supreme Court ruling three months before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in which the justices rejected such government monitoring.

"All Americans should be concerned about the apparent trend toward a two-tiered system of justice, with full rights for most citizens and another diminished set for Muslims," said Nihad Award, an official of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim civil-liberties group.

But Justice Department officials said the monitoring was lawful. They said that investigators used special equipment to gauge radiation levels at homes, warehouses and religious centers of Muslim groups, and that the testing was done in or near parking lots and driveways, areas the government views as public property.

They said the testing was still taking place. It was first reported Friday by U.S. News & World Report...

and if they don't like my attitude they can get out of the US.

Too bad the gutless wonders in our Congress don't take the same attitude. Then the losers would leave, and the Muslims that really want to become part of America and ITS CULTURE might stay and become respectable REAL AMERICAN citizens....I know, dream on.

Now-now...we should be more accommodating to the Islamists who want to kill us and rape our wives and daughters. We just need to be more tolerant of the "religion of peace"!

OK. I'll extend them an open invitation to come over and talk over dinner. We're havin' pork chops and beer.

That's it, no more monitoring of communications between foreign terrorist enclaves and the U.S because we might find out the Jihadis are trying to import nukes and store them in places where we're not allowed to try to detect them.

My head is spinning. American Publik, wake up and see what's happening here. Your DNC and MSM are both begging for a nuclear strike on you.

Why do we have to spy on Muslims in this country? Because THEY are the enemy.

If Islamists don't want to be associated with terrorism, then they should be more strident about not associating with terrorists.

But Muslims must side with muslims first,........ Something about Allah or Muhammad or the Koran....

Nothing in politics happens by accident...

Why would this information come out now? Who stands to gain? What purpose would it serve to leak this information at this specific time?

Why no calls for an investigation into the release, yet again, of clearly classified material?

Sorry guys, but I think the administration let this one off on purpose to generate an enviroment that will be more fertile for passing a permanent version of the Patriot Act. Of course I could be (and often am) wrong, but I just don't see this as an indicator that the US is any more concerned with nukes now than in the recent past...If that were the case, it would not have been leaked.

Find the leaker, and you will find the motive. None of this would have happened IMHO if the RINOS would have voted for the patriot act.

In that case, what does it have to do with a warrant? If you need a warrant, then you need a warrant irrespective whether you do it randomly or not.

You hit the nail on the head. The problem is not so much the Dems (we know what a bunch of America haters they are) the problem is that the MSM won't cover them. Not in the way they are setting us up for the next big hit.

The major problem we have in this country is THE LIBERAL MEDIA!

Boycott them! Contact their advertisers.

Just wait for the mushroom cloud...Then the civilian authorities will have probable cause, the location of the nuke and time to perform a proper investigation. All the I's can be dotted and the t's crossed in a legal and open fashion.

>>>,i>CAIR, which is funded by Hamas.<<<

I thought it was the other way around. Doesn't make much difference either way but I thought Sami al Arian, the U of Fla. prof that was just aquitted, was a CAIR guy who was accused of raising money for Hamas.

>>>FBI agents have secretly monitored radiation levels at Islamic mosques<<<

Fine, all well and good!

If we could be assured that the FBI is monitoring the Islamists that attend the mosque, I'd be a bunch happier!

I'll say it for the 40 bilionth time, The Rats will bitch and moan at W's anti-terrorist policies, until we have another 9-11 attack. And even then, they will say, "The Administration was not doing its job." These people make me puke.
