Theres a new poll out, done by Oxford Research International for ABC News and TIME magazine. Unfortunately, unless you were watching This Week on ABC this morning, or this evenings World News Tonight, you likely missed it.
George Stephanopoulos referred to this poll on This Week this morning as he was speaking with American ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad (taken from closed captioning):
And I want to begin by showing you and our viewers some results from a new poll, conducted by ABC news and "Time" magazine, and other international partners. It's part of our Iraq: Where Things Stand series. It shows some good news.

Wha? Hey! Hmm...
I thought Dean said we couldn't win in Iraq because Kerry said our people were terrorizing the Iraqi women and children.
God it must suck hind tit to be a friggen lunatic leftist these days.
Just a tip to those who make their own investment decisions. Sell your stock in Marxist printing concerns. It's going to be slow going for a few years.
Washington Post had this report Thursday:
In Iraq, Signs of Political Evolution
which contains this little piece of info:
************************
"It is like night and day from 10 months ago in terms of level of participation and political awareness," said a Canadian election specialist with the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, a group affiliated with the U.S. Democratic Party that is working to ease Iraq's transition to democracy. The institute, which has provided free campaign training to more than 100 Iraqi parties and describes its programs as nonpartisan, granted a reporter access to its employees and training sessions on the condition that no one on its staff be named.

So surely the Democratic leaders have an inkling that momentous things are about to happen in IRAQ......
but but but but but but but but but but but but....
/trolls both zotted and UN-zotted on FR.
"So surely the Democratic leaders have an inkling that momentous things are about to happen in IRAQ......"
I think this is why they've become so suicidally looney in the past few weeks. They're trying to jinx the Iraq election and/or take credit for the inevitable drawdown of coalition troops as the Iraqi troops stand up.
How can they report poll results that go against what the spew everyday?
"God it must suck hind tit to be a friggen lunatic leftist these days."
Especially the lunatic part : )
The Democrats thrive not only on economic depressions where people lose their jobs, homes, and savings - - they also thrive on American military defeat and body counts. Things are presently going very, very badly for the Democrats. It is no wonder they have gone so goofy and hysterical.
Good news from Iraq is bad news indeed for the Democrats.
Just watch their selective reporting.....85% of Iraqi's want the Americqans gone......and their own soldiers in charge....\it is in the poll!
Does the poll include WHEN the Iraqi's want the Coalition forces to leave? The fact that 85% want them to leave is not news because they SHOULD want them to leave.
Iraq: Where Things Stand is an ongoing series that ABC News has been doing since 2003. From what I can tell, they have been using the services of Oxford Research International to give them data concerning the opinions of Iraqi citizens. ABCNews.com reported about tonights installment on World News Tonight: In a rare, nationwide poll of 1,700 Iraqis, ABC News and its partners found 71 percent of the Iraqis saying their lives are "going well," and 65 percent opposing the presence of U.S. forces, though there is no consensus on when troops should leave.
See #12....
The only inkling they have is what runs down their legs when they don't fully empty their bladders.
William Tecumseh Sherman
"I hate newspapermen. They come into camp and pick up their camp rumors and print them as facts. I regard them as spies, which, in truth, they are. If I killed them all there would be news from Hell before breakfast."
Newspapermen = MSM
and 65 percent opposing the presence of U.S. forces,
It's the way of the Socialists, Marxists. Their ilk feed at the trough of poverty and despair. The Democratic Party has evolved into the American Socialist Party. The namesake is simply another diversion.
I don't see it as all that negative...of couse they would like to have any foreign troops gone.
An investigation by the FCC into how much, how often and how hard the MSM suppressed good news on WOT and Iraq would be interesting to read.
