TORONTO -- The Liberals would ban handguns in Canada if they are re-elected, Prime Minister Paul Martin said Thursday.
Martin, who made the election campaign announcement at a safer communities announcement in Toronto, wants to choke off the supply of handguns in this country, particularly those brought into the country illegally and sold on the black market.

I don't see how they can discriminate against guns brought into Canada from the US. That would be a violation of NAFTA.

Liberalism means acting consistently against your own best self interests and those of people you claim to help.
That means that Canada will vote the liberals into office.
But of course. Leftists would never allow their god (the state) to go unarmed.
Maybe this will convince the people wo promised to move North after the last election to get off their, um, seats and actually move to Canada.
Let's all tell 'em how safe they will be, and offer to help with the packing and moving.

England is not gun free. Was in a gun shop there last year, they can own shotguns and rifles easily enough, you just need an obtainable permit.
Now all our criminals can go to Canada for easy pickens.
