BAGHDAD (Army News Service, Nov. 7, 2005) -- Iraqi police in Adhamiyah responded to a call-in tip at about 7:30 a.m., Nov. 6, that an improvised explosive device had been placed near a school. The report later received by U.S. military police stated that a grenade was discovered taped to a pole with a detonating wire strung across the sidewalk.
Staff Sgt. Robert Stearns, an MP liaison with the Rusafa Police Station, said it appeared that the device was set to detonate as the children left school.
An Iraqi police explosive ordnance disposal team arrived to safely dispose of the device. The police continued to secure the area and search for other explosives.
Around 12:30 p.m., another grenade was discovered, but this one had not yet been set to detonate. The EOD team disposed of the second grenade.
We dont know if the person who set the device was interrupted in what he was doing and just did not have time to arm it, Stearns said. I think the person who provided the tip about the first grenade probably saved some innocent children today.
In a separate incident, elements of the Iraqi 3rd Public Order Brigade discovered a team of terrorists emplacing a roadside bomb along a road east of Salman Pak around 9:30 a.m. A firefight ensued and one terrorist was killed while the other evaded capture. A search for the other terrorist continued while an Iraqi EOD team arrived to safely dispose of the roadside bomb.

Iraqi's taking care of their own with brave hearts.
These animals belong in the lowest level of hell.
Isnt it really like plugging a hole in the dike with your finger? I mean does anyone really believe that they will stop killing each other?..What are they going to wake up one day and stop killing innocents and hiding behind woman and children?
Well good for those guys.
