O'Malley Blames GOP Plot For Rumors (MD GOVERNOR'S AID FIRED FOR FREE REPUBLIC POSTS)

No one can figure that out.

What can I say other than the Governor had no knowledge whatsoever of any postings on FR. For the record, I offered to resign before being asked to do so. And, no, I have not spoken directly with the Governor about any of this.

The Baltimore Sun will be running a piece on this as well on Wednesday. They called Tuesday night and were ready to pin the whole thing on the Governor, and I couldn't let that happen because it simply isn't true. The Governor had no knowledge of anything involving O'Malley or the "rumors."

Also, the Baltimore Sun has a list of FReepers they read off to me to see if I was "also" posting under those screen names. I don't remember all of them, but CrushKerry was one.

Sure hope some folks get a clue that we do have trolls on here from the RATs and when they see someone posting that advocates dirty tricks against the Dems, better take a second look and then look again.

Here's Ryan's email to the Washington Post that started this mess:

"There will be a big story in the Post either tomorrow or Thursday that credits Gov. Ehrlich's staff for creating and spreading the nasty and untrue rumor about our Mayor and his family," the e-mail reads. It goes on to mention a top O'Malley aide who "asked me to contact you to see if you could show your disgust by calling into WBAL Radio after the story hits ... it is top secret!"

The e-mailer then dictates what callers should say:

"'I voted for Ehrlich because I thought he would get rid of the culture of corruption and assassin politics of Annapolis -- he has only made it worse. He should be ashamed of the dirty smear campaign perpetuated by his own staff. It disgusts me to know that my tax dollars paid for this filth.'"

The message concludes, "This will be the biggest story of the year. Thanks for your help."

One thing's for sure Ryan, it is the biggest story of the year only I don't think you'll like how it turns out. By the way, you might want to change your number.
