Margaret Sanger's Warped "Gospel of Redemption and Salvation"
Daley Times-Post ^ | Oct. 21, 2005 | Linda Kimball

Although no shots have thus far been fired, a fierce battle is nonetheless being waged for the hearts and souls of Americans. The combatants, locked in a life-or-death struggle, are two antithetical worldviews. On one side is America's traditional Christian-Judeo worldview, selected by our Founders as the moral rock on which to anchor our nation. First among its principles is the sanctity of life, an absolute necessity if individual liberty and equality before the law are to exist.

The second combatant is a malevolent alien to our shores. It's based in arrested emotional development, invidious envy, and phantasmagorical dreams of impossible equality. David Horowitz said of this combatant that it bears a "deep hatred for the human norm and an unquenchable desire for its annihilation…the inhumanity of the radical ambition was what made the Communist epoch so consummate in its evil…an agenda whose aim is to erase the human past and remake the human soul." (The Politics of Bad Faith; www.discoverthenetwork.org).

Though this monstrously malevolent worldview wraps itself in an egocentric banner of 'reason and science,' it is in actuality a system of warped morals and inhumane philosophy which, functionally speaking, serves as a religion. This religion, were it given a name, would be called Evolutionary Humanism.

As all religiously held belief systems do, it informs us of who our creator is (matter) and how we were created (evolution). It tells us who we are: soulless, slightly smarter human apes, lacking both free will and morally informed conscience. It relates to us the story of what went wrong with us and then the world (the fall). In the humanist version, we are told that the human ape species was originally naturally good (Gospel of Rousseau), and the source of evil by which we became depraved (fell) lies within our traditional social institutions (Gospel of Rousseau). This is simply a euphemistic way of saying that God, His laws, and His social institutions are evil.

Finally, as religions are wont to do, it tells us through a plan of redemption and salvation what must be done to redeem the fallen world and the human apes. In the humanist version, all power and authority (collectivization) must be placed into the hands of Christ-like elites who, possessing godlike intellectual powers, will actualize the plan of salvation. This will lead to the creation of an earthly paradise (Kingdom of God) peopled with the New Man.

There are a variety of evolutionary humanism's "liberation ideologies," and all of them are variations on a theme: that history is moving forward in a series of evolutionary stages, and that as each stage ends, its social institutions and mores must be shed…as a reptile sheds its old skin…lest the old ways impede evolutionary progress towards perfection. This myth was dubbed the "Escalator Myth" by British philosopher Mary Midgeley.

In reality, liberation ideologies are darkly distorted mirror images of the Christian teaching of divine providence. Christianity teaches that history is moving towards the Kingdom of God, that the Bible is God's plan of redemption and salvation, and that fallen man can only be saved through the grace of Jesus Christ. In contrast, the Escalator Myth teaches that we are evolving towards a utopian paradise on earth which will be created through the godlike ingenuity of some highly evolved "chosen ones." The humanist plan of redemption and salvation is contained within various 'gospels' written by highly evolved humans who are revered as 'enlightened' (with revealed truth) voices of reason." Among these worshipped notables are Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Karl Marx, Engel's, Hegel, Alfred Kinsey, and Margaret Sanger.

Margaret Sanger preached a salvation doctrine that both advocated sexual libertinism and abortion and damned Christian morality and all God ordained norms and institutions. She believed that if society would, "Remove the constraints and prohibitions which…hinder the release of inner energies…most of the larger evils of society will perish." To a female whose morals were those of a tramp, any sort of sex, even that of adults rutting on children, is simply an act of releasing inner energies.

Complete freedom to fornicate coupled with complete freedom to prevent conception or to get rid of newly conceived human life was, according to the Gospel of Sanger, the shining path by which human nature could be transformed into New Men. She enthusiastically proclaimed that it is within the power of the 'chosen ones' to "remodel the (human) race" and to create a "real civilization" to "transmute and sublimate the everyday world into a realm of beauty and joy."

Unconstrained fornication, by Sanger's reckoning, would not only redeem mankind's fallen nature, but would make man godlike. She preached that through the "release and channeling of the primordial inner energies of man" men and women can evolve into geniuses. In this twisted version of the Garden of Eden story, it's not the fruit of the tree that makes us godlike; it's the release of sexual energies.

Another preacher of Sanger's Gospel is Robert Rimmer, author of "The Harrad Experiment" (1966). His book fueled the sexual liberation movement and was for an entire generation of college attendees, recommended reading in courses dealing with marriage and family. Like Sanger, Rimmer preached that fornication was the means for taking "one more step up the evolutionary ladder…for evolving into a new form of man or woman." Sex, he wrote, is "actually an act of worship."

Yet another contemporary of Sanger's is Mary Calderone, architect of sex education in all public schools and former director of the Sex Information and Education Council of the U.S. (SIECUS). In a 1968 article she openly admitted to the real agenda of sex educators when she wrote, "What kind (of person) do we want to produce to take the place of human nature as we know it today?"

In the Gospel of Sanger, complete sexual freedom was but one method for creating the New Man, elevating the 'chosen' to the status of genius, and to creating paradise on earth. The other necessary step was in either preventing new life from being conceived or by getting rid of it once it had been conceived. This means sterilization, eugenics, and abortion.

The latter step serves two primary purposes in the evolutionist's scheme of things. The first revolves around preventing the birth of what Sanger termed "unfit" and "dysgenic" breeding stock. Among these were Italians, Jews, blacks, epileptics, the disabled, the diseased, mental defectives, and Catholics. Catholics were evil because they were staunch sanctity of life supporters. Today, in Sanger's view, all sanctity of life supporters is considered to be evil fanatics, hateful bigots and superstitious morons.

The second purpose is really an act—it's the ultimate act of rebellion against God and all that's natural and decent. Omnipotence in this case, comes from having power over whether someone else will be allowed to live or not. It's a sociopaths 'power trip." Sanger's malice-fueled megalomania was on display when she proclaimed, "I believe…woman was enslaved by the world machine, by sex conventions, by motherhood and its present necessary child-rearing…by middle class morality, by customs, laws and superstitions." Only in the maddened mind of an invidiously envious narcissist would it make sense to rebel against God's and society's norms by declaring her right to "be lazy," "to be an unmarried mother," "to destroy," "to create," "to love," and "to live." Her oxymoronic illogic can be restated as: "Social parasitism is the path to glory."

In observance of the Left's malevolence-fueled obsession with creating a New Man, David Horowitz wrote, "The century behind us is littered with the corpses of millions who died on the cross of such new worlds…the quest for a 'new man' and 'new woman' consumed the lives of entire nations." (The Politics of Bad Faith)

Torrents of human blood continue to flow through our century in the insane quest for creating the New Man. In America there have been 486,000,000 surgical and chemically induced (abortifacient) abortions between the years of 1965-1996. (www.rockforlife.org)

In "The Problem of Pain," C.S. Lewis observed, "Man is now a horror to God and to himself…not because God made him so but because he has made himself so by the abuse of his free will…Evil comes from the abuse of free will."

In denying that they have the seeds of evil within themselves, bloody-handed evolutionary humanists have become the embodiment of the very thing they live in denial of. And this is why they have become horrors to both God and man.

Very much doubt this number. I think they misplaced a decimal or something.

The US performs very roughly 1M abortions each year, not 10M.

The 486,000,000 abortion counts an estimate of the number of abortions caused by IUDs, which does not prevent conception but prevents the baby from being implanted in the uterine wall, and birth control pills and patches, most of which work in part by making the uterine lining hostile to a newly concieved baby. The numbers were obtained by estimating the average chance of conception based upon circumstances, age, fertility, etc in relation to number of years using an IUD, then combining those with the number of conceptions likely to have taken place with breakthrough ovulation (again controlled for age, fertility, frequency of sex, etc) on the pill or the patch.
Pharmacists for Life's website has detailed information about this research, if you are interested.

Although no shots have thus far been fired, a fierce battle is nonetheless being waged for the hearts and souls of Americans.

This is an excellent article, but IMO it takes into account only part of the forces arrayed against the Judeo/Christian God and His followers.

I suggest a more accurate paradigm is that this is battle of the forces of hatred/evil/rebellion/darkness against the forces of Good (the Judeo/Christian God and his followers). And the enemy has two prongs of attack. One army, as mentioned in this article, consists of rebels against God (the atheists, hedonists...the man-centered crowd). And the other force--just as deadly if not more so--is comprised of the followers of Islam's Allah. Allah (Satan) has indeed already fired his shot and makes no secret of his plan to unleash death and destruction on the world.

It is not just that war is now underway (it has been going on since the dawn of time). The greater truth is that this war is finally nearing its climax.

OK. However, please be aware that the vast majority of Americans do not consider at least some of these events to constitute an abortion.

Wild statements of this type, IMHO, do significant damage to the pro-life cause.

It was the late 1970s and I was taking a US History course at Memphis State University. My long-haired bearded instructor sat cross-legged on top of his desk and told us what our required reading was to be. One of the books was "Birth Control in America: The Career of Margaret Sanger."

Wild? By whose definition (the pro-death crowd?) and based upon what moral criterian?

Very much doubt this number (486,000,000). I think they misplaced a decimal or something.

My impression is that the number of aborted babies per year approximates 1,000,000. That being the case, the number cited is off by an order of magnitude. It may very well be 48,600,000, as you suspect.

Just my opinion, of course.

By definition, when you classify anyone who has ever used birth control pills or an IUD as an abortionist, it means that you are designating a significant majority of Americans as perpetrators.

Some significant number of these people, who might otherwise be open to the pro-life cause, are going to be driven into opposition by such statements.

I fail to see how classifying most American voters as "the enemy" can possibly help advance a political cause.

Nahh. Turns out they calculated the total number of pregnancies they think would have occurred had IUDs and birth control pills not been used for this period.

Utterly ridiculous, of course, as this rate of pregnancies had not existed in America for decades prior to their invention. If IUDs and the Pill had not existed during this period, people would have just used condoms and other methods to prevent the vast majority of these pregnancies.

This column fails to note that Margaret Sanger's main focus was birth control for the lesser races as a way to reduce their numbers. No wonder the KKK loved her.
