Another unproven assumption. What "Damage"? Sorry you guys all just assume your feelings equal facts. They do NOT. You guys were never on Bush's side to start with. You are the same collection of "Freepers" who wail and moan at EVERYTHING. Sorry, those of us who pay attention cannot take you guys seriously. It's the same old song and dance every time. So, put up this time.
WHAT DAMAGE is this nomination doing? Not like the people doing all the moaning haven't been doing the same thing about gas prices, Katerina response, hurricane relief, git-mo, The Roberts Judaical pick etc etc etc. It is ALL NEGATIVE ALL THE TIME from some of you. Why should we care when we KNOW how your faction is going to act NO MATTER what Bush does? You are mad at Bush so you are going to complain. Will not matter AT all what he does. You will complain. It's Bash Bush all the time no matter what. Well guess what after the 1st 100 or so posts, we don't CARE anymore that your feelings are hurt.
Funny how all the "Bush picked his crony" people foget Bush Sr did NOT know Souter. Guess picking out of the hat of Republican Party favorites did not work so hot did it?
Thanks for the link
And maybe she is NOT. How many of W's judge choice have you reason to doubt? That is FACT, the rest is just hurt feelings and fears because OTHER PRESIDENTS picked judges out of the establishment and it bit us on the butt. Well maybe that is WHY W went outside the Elitiest Judical Guild to find someone. Sorry, I am NOT impressed with feelings I AM impressed with facts
POTUS would not have had to have had a "discussion" with her about her personal views --- all he need have done was to tell her that he would never want to make his fathers same mistake --- "make sure they're not like Souter." Message received.
And was among those pushing Bush to dump Cheney in 2004, presumably in favor of McLame. I think he was also one pushing the Kerry/McLame rumors big time.
He has a long standing hatred for the Bush family that dates back to his time on Dan Quayle's staff. He's always blamed them for Quayle's problems.
Kelo applied to a particular case in Connecticut.
Answer the question and quit ducking by make irrelevant sneering nonseical responses. Name one of President GW Bush's judicial picks that has been an error? No more ducking, nor more snide sneering responses. ANSWER the question. Currently your side is LOSING the debate JUST cause none of you can actually ADDRESS a point.
Thank you! And I am disapointed in Krauthammers opposition, as well. I could care less about Kristol's or Buchannan's...
I still take all the viewpoints seriously. Yeah, I think they are wrong this time, but it's been the other way around in the past so I'm not going to take the pro or con too personally. For all the carping, on either side, I think we can all agree we want the best for America and a more conservative nation.
Sorry, the idea that "Time" has anyone in the Bush WH that talks to them is rather far fetched.

LOL! You mean to say that they have taken Matt Cooper, Mr Grunwald, off of their speed dial!
Pity for you this is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy, you don't get to vote.
Another incoherent statement from you. What are you referring to?
I also see that you misrepresent my words and sentiment. Doesn't mean you never post something thought provoking or true, but deliberate misrepresntation and deliberate obtuseness is juvenile.
Evidence, please? Pretty offensive statement to make without any evidence. Of course, most of what you've done in posting to me has been unsourced and insulting, though you've mostly hidden it well. You have to actually read the posts to see the pattern. I provided links to posts that I think illustrate my point. Would you be honest enough to provide some to where I've misrepresented you?
If not, go away and stop bothering the adults.
You got that right. ANYONE the Meirs critics DO like is head and shoulders BETTER then anyone the OTHER side would pick. Their candidate wins the 2008 primary, I will work just as hard for their guy as I have the last 20 years worked for my picks. That's probably why this is so bloody, fights INSIDE the family usually are the worst
Absolutely...
I will say this right here for all to see: if George Bush buckles to the hardliner malcontents, he will lose my support, period.
I'm sick tp death of all the bashing and trashing; I'm sick of a small group of people who NEVER WANTED HIM AS THE NOMINEE IN THE FIRST PLACE, wailing and moaning about everything he does.
If he lets you all run him into a corner, I'm done with him. And there sure as hell are more of "me" than there are of "you." I won't be the only one to go.
