The Republicans like the Democrats will never respect the Constitution. They will never roll back spending. They will never curb judicial tyranny. So it leaves freedom loving Americans without a political home? Its time to move on. The death of conservatism shouldn't be lamented; it ought to be seen as an opportunity.

"Its time to move on"
It's time to purge the RINOs and big government republicans from the party that Reagan resurrected.
No money to the RNC. Donate only to the candidates that pass the test themselves. Let the party know why.
And people here need to stop making excuses for it. It's like 'battered republican syndrome'.. "hey, where else are you going to go??? You can't do any better!"
Holding their feet to the fire is not 'going against republicans'. Letting the big government, campaign conservative, Govern RINO politicians get away with it in the name of 'party unity' will only destroy the party.

I understand the concern about a "blank slate" choice like Miers, when we were so hoping for a known Scalia/Thomas.
But I think Farah is hyperventilating a bit.

She's Karen Hughes, sans the political voice. She'll vote with Thomas and Scalia.

I don't think conservatism is dead at all.
I think the Republican party might be on life support, but I've learned the difference between the Party and the ideals.
It may be difficult for the conservatives in the Republican party to take control back of the party in the near future, but Conservatism is alive and well. We just need to organize ourselves better.

Not so fast, my friend (sorry, channeling Lee Corso there).
Let's get rid of the common enemy first; once the Sorosites have their Götterdämmerung then the GOP can split off into conservative/libertarian and liberal/populist wings.

Rubbish. Childish drivel, nothing more.
17 years ago Partial Birth Abortion was legal, using the internet for profit was not. 7 years ago we had the Assault Weapons Ban...today we do not.
15 years ago "Concealed Carry Weapons" was legal in fewer than half a dozen states...today it is legal in 46 out of 50.
5 years ago it was illegal to arm commercial pilots. Today it is not.
3 years ago Saddam Hussein was in power. Today he's in jail.
8 years ago the Kyoto global warming nonsense was a threat...today it's a historical footnote. Ditto for the International Criminal court.
18 years ago we were banned from deploying Star Wars due to the CCCP-U.S.A. ABM Treaty. Today, National Missile Defenses are deployed on the land in Alaska and California as well as at sea on SM-3 vessels (and perhaps via Boeing in air, too).
15 years ago the Berlin Wall still stood.
Hey Farah, where's that Berlin Wall today?!
Conservatism has only "lost ground?!" Does Farah earn so little that he hasn't noticed our 3 income tax cuts, the repeal of the Estate Tax, the cut of the dividend double-tax, and the energy credit tax cut?!
What a know-nothing. Give it up, Farah. You're clueless.

Farah is a wack job.
He was hosting for Lori Roth last week and he sounded like a real kook.
The type of person he wanted nominated was an activist not an originist.
He hates Bush with a Passion and every other sentence he said some wacko stuff that even those right of Rush would wince at !
To: goldstategop
The confirmation of that fact came last week when former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay explained there was absolutely no place to cut the bloated federal budget. He said Republicans had done such a good job reining in government spending over the last decade, there was no fat left. see, now there is a real reason to indict DeLay.

After a full page of handwringing and whining, he concludes:
"Let's not wring our hands over the latest Supreme Court nomination. Let's not whine about spending by the Republican Congress and president...."
All this time I thought we were supposed to be the adults. I'm disappointed. I wanted JRB and took a lot of action to try to make it so. It didn't go my way. But good grief, I refuse to join the ranks of those acting like Bush just nominated Hillary Clinton for the SCOTUS. Buck up and quit whining

There is another party. Its called the elect, the Sons of God, the Heavenly party. When they appear on Earth, everything will change. In fact, even the ground they walk on will have the curse removed from it. No more tears, no more fears, no more sickness, no more disease, no more aging, people returning to the days of their youth. They will remove the curse from YOUR body as well, if you cry out for deliverance from the Lord. Until then all you can do is endure a world being consumed by the effects of man's sinful nature.
Most of the Bible was written for the days we are living in, so I admonish you to read it often.
Job 33
23 If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
24 Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:
26 He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
27 He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.
