"Three Indonesian girls beheaded"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Three girls have been beheaded and another badly injured as they walked to a Christian school in Indonesia.
They were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked.
This is an area that has a long history of religious violence between Muslims and Christians."

The Christian-Muslim conflict in Sulawesi was an extension of a wider sectarian war in nearby Maluku archipelago in which up to 9,000 people died between 1999 and 2002.
Soon after it erupted in 1999, the Maluku conflict intensified with the arrival of volunteers belonging to Laskar Jihad (search), a newly created militia from Indonesia's main island of Java that was supported by hardline elements in the security forces.
Analysts and diplomats accused senior army commanders of funding and training the militia, which was hurriedly disbanded following the terrorist attacks on the tourist island of Bali in 2002 that killed more than 200 people — including 88 foreigners. Some former militiamen are believed to have moved to Poso."

Persecution in Indonesia Escalates
Three Christian high school girls have been beheaded in Indonesia. Another girl was badly injured.
The BBC reported (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4387604.stm ) that the girls were walking through a cocoa plantation near the city of Poso in central Sulawesi province when they were attacked.
Police say the heads were found some distance from the bodies, the BBC reported. The motive for the attack is unclear, the BBC said. However, the girls attended a private Christian school, and one of the heads was left outside a church. That led to speculation that there may have been a religious motive.
In a news release from International Christian Concern (www.persecution.org), the group stated this incident means that persecution against Christians has taken a serious turn for the worse.
ICC stated that the group has been reporting on the increase in persecution towards Christians in Indonesia over the last couple of months.
"Radical Islamists have been increasingly forcing churches to close with and without help from local authorities," the news release stated.
Things have deteriorated so much, ICC stated, that on Oct. 25 the Secretary of "Indonesian Churches Together" sent out an urgent plea to the world's Christians asking that they pray for Christians in Indonesia.
According to ICC, the region where the girls were attacked experienced a brutal wave of persecution from 1998 through 2002. During that time, hundreds of people were murdered and about 1,000 homes burned down. Then in 2003 through 2004, there was a series of assassinations of pastors and Christian leaders.
The background to this, ICC commented, "is the funding of radical Imams, mosques, and pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools) by Saudi Arabia. Although Muslims and Christians had good relations for hundreds of years, since the advent of Saudi influence in Indonesian Islam, there has been wave after wave of death and destruction. This same pattern is repeated in Pakistan. Now ... it has been found that the same influence is being spread in U.S. mosques."
ICC continued, "All this while the Saudi's spend millions of dollars each year in the U.S. trying to convince U.S. citizens on TV ads and through the efforts of Washington's top lobbyists of their undying friendship with the people of the U.S."
ICC said the organization is asking concerned individuals to contact the Indonesian Embassy, "to politely ask for the protection of Christians in Poso, as well as to end the pattern of church closings in West Java, Indonesia."

General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah lashed out at UN special envoy

Iraqi Security Forces Detain 12 Iranians, While

Baghdad – Today, the Iraqi security forces in Diala province have
arrested 12 Iranian nationals, while they were sneaking to Iraq in the
city of Medeli, near the borders between the two countries.
The Iraqi news agency has quoted an officer with the Iraqi borders
security saying, "The detainees are drug smugglers. An amount of
herbs and plants that are used in making drugs has been seized." The
officer added that investigation is going on with the detainees to
identify the authorities that they are dealing with, in Iraq.
On the other hand, The Iraqi government has announced the
detention of the top financer of gunmen in Al Faluja, known as
Men'eim Shaker Al Kubaisi. A statement by the ministers' council said,
"Al Kubaisi was distributing money to what the statement described as
'criminal gangs' in Al Faluja city, for the purpose of attacking Iraqi
security forces for the justification of assisting the city residents."

HOUSTON -- A man was charged Friday, accused of intentionally
administering fake flu shots to hundreds of ExxonMobil employees,
KPRC Local 2 reported.
Iyad Abu El Hawa, 35, is accused of attempting to defraud Medicare by
giving fake flu vaccines, according to U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg.
Officials said El Hawa substituted a purified form of water for the
vaccine.

Jakarta (dpa) - Three Christian students were beheaded and three
others wounded in the eastern Indonesian province of Central
Sulawesi Saturday, following a new violence in the region torn by
sectarian conflict.
The bodies of the Christian students, who lived at the same village in
Poso district town, were found at different places, with their heads
taken as far as 25 kilometres away, the state-run Antara news agency
reported.
The three students were killed while they were on their way to school,
about nine kilometres from their homes. Another three students had
suffered serious stab wounds in the attack, Antara said.

I see you all have the info on this fake flu shot guy with the middle eastern name. The people at Exxon/Mobil are being given blood tests to determine if anything was in those vials besides water.
Some of the guys who came up here during the Hurricane Rita evacuation are from that Baytown facility.
That we don't keep better track of these things and the fact that a big company like that can be hoodwinked is scary.

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (AP) - A 19-year-old in a black cape and helmet went on a shooting rampage Saturday in an upscale Southern California neighborhood, killing a man and his daughter before committing suicide, authorities said.
The teen shot a 45-year-old man and his 21-year-old daughter to death in their home, said Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino. A 20-year-old son escaped after hearing shots.
The shooter, whose identity wasn't released, then walked across the street and fired into another house. A person inside suffered cuts from broken glass, Amormino said.
Another neighbor heard the commotion, came outside and was confronted by the teen, who tried to fire his weapon. When it misfired, the shooter went back to his own house - less than 100 yards away - and committed suicide, Amormino said.
The motive was unknown. Police said there was no known link between the teen and his victims.
The victims' names were withheld pending family notification.
Aliso Viejo is a small, affluent community near Laguna Beach.

"We are in high alert," said Sandra Sayas, director-general of Guatemala's prison system. "I've called all of the prison chiefs to an urgent meeting."
In the first attack, the assailants apparently used assault weapons to open fire on guards as they were leaving work at the end of their shift in the "Pavoncito" prison, 10 kilometers (six miles) southeast of the capital, Guatemala City, Sayas said.
One of the guards died immediately, while another died on arrival at a hospital. The third was in surgery Saturday, Sayas said."

MAN PLEADS GUILITY TO THE PRODUCTION AND TRANSPORTING OF
CHILD PORNOGRAPHY INTO THE USA
ALEXANDRIA – United States Attorney Paul J. McNulty announced that
Burhan Mahmod Hinawi, age 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina, pled
guilty today to a one count criminal information charging him with
production of child pornography outside the United States and
transporting child pornography into the USA. Hinawi is scheduled to be
sentenced on January 20, 2006, by Senior District Court Judge Claude
M. Hilton. He faces a maximum sentence of 30 years imprisonment.
Court documents allege that Hinawi produced videos of himself
engaging in various sexual acts with male and female children
between the ages of 12 and 15. Hinawi remains in custody pending
sentencing.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs
Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security and prosecuted for
the United States by Assistant United States Attorney Gerald Smagala.
