HUNTSVILLE, Ala. A grand jury will decide if a Gurley woman will stand trial for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill her neighbors to avenge her dead cat. 38-year-old Alisha Grantham is charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit murder. District Judge Lynn Sherrod sent the case to the jury and set Grantham's bail Wednesday at $200,000. She was arrested on May 20th.
Sheriff's deputy Marcus Adams says Grantham tried to hire George Nayman of Gurley to kill the family next door.
She suspected the family of three adults and a 13-year-old child of killing her cat.
Adams said Grantham allegedly paid Nayman several hundred dollars in May with a promise of more money to follow after he killed her neighbors.
Officials say Grantham threatened Nayman when the murders weren't carried out and he called the police.
Adams said Nayman cooperated with deputies, saying he did not think the death of a cat warranted the murder of humans.
Officials say Nayman has NOT been charged in the case.
Just when you think you have heard it all...........
I always knew cat people were crazy, dog people would do it themselves
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
If they harmed my cats, I would not need to hire a hit-man. I would show them TX justice in four flashes.
Beware the Viking Kitties!
Alisha Grantham = paranoid schizophrenic
ugh....
I'm with you. Don't tread on my cats.
"dog people would do it themselves"
LOL! You are correct and there would be no waiting period.
It is a wise person that does not harm anyone's pet.
Better to paint your house in a neon shade, or start a gopher farm along the fence, or cook ethnic and fan it in the neighbor's direction. No call to murder.
Getting another cat works too.
I believe you..... : )
I'm just glad that I'm not a Gurley man.
Maybe the police should check if this guy has previously concluded that something did warrant the murder of humans.
What's her Freeper name?
"No girly women for us.
Girly women are for girly men.
You got it?"
The power of the P*ssy stikes again.
"What's her Freeper name?" LOL, excellent. If she were a Freeper she would have take action on her own.
I agree but those involved in situations will do unbelieveable things.
This article is proof of that......
From a Cat's Daily Diary:
|
| Day 483 of my captivity. My captors continue to
| taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They
| dine lavishly on fresh food while I am forced to eat
| dry cereal.
|
| The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of
| escape and the mild scolding I get from ruining the
| occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat
| another houseplant.
|
| Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving
| around their feet while they were walking almost
| succeeded; must try this at the top of the stairs.
|
| In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile
| oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit
| on their favorite chair; must try this on their bed.
|
| Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless
| body in an attempt to make them aware of what I am
| capable of and to try to strike fear into their hearts.
| They only cooed and condescended about what a good
| little cat I was.
| Hmmmm, not working according to plan.
|
| There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices.
| I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the
| event. However, I could hear the noise and smell of food.
| More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was
| due to my power of "allergies". I must learn what this is
| and how to use it to my advantage.
|
| I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and
| maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and
| seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a
| half-wit.
|
| The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an
| informant. He speaks with them regularly, and I
| am certain he reports my every move. Due to
| his current placement in the metal room, his
| safety is assured.
| But I can wait; it is only a matter of time
If not, she is close........
