PHOENIX -- A man who strangled to death an attacking bobcat said Wednesday he's seen his share of those animals near his quiet, secluded home, reported KPHO-TV in Phoenix. James Gruver, 61, lives about 10 miles north of Lake Pleasant, Ariz. He said the growling cat hiding under his trailer Monday afternoon was unlike any he'd ever seen. "I bent down and looked under the trailer, and right there about 5 feet from me, was this bobcat," Gruver said. A second later, the cat lunged. "I didn't even have time to snap my fingers, it happened so quick," Gruver said....

Why does President Barack Obama’s White House continue to be mired in distraction? Since the president took office there has been Gates Gate; the international snub in Copenhagen, Denmark, after the president flew there overnight to make a bid for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Olympics; the call for New York Gov. David Patterson not to seek election to a full term; and now the puerile decision to attack Fox News.

Free Republic used to be the most up to date web site where you could go for the latest news. Now it's been overrun with so many personal blogs and opinions that it's a chore to wade through all the personal stuff to find the real headline news. Even religous post like the daily rants of Joel Osteen, (whom I detest because he's a fake getting rich off gullible Americans)is allowed to be posted on a regular basis but you're not allowed to refute anything he says. Why is he not being put in religion where he belongs? The categories...

The Administration knows they would have a difficult time getting our Armed Forces to go against us. But the recently released prison population would have no problem going door to door confiscating our weapons. I was embarrassed for my country when many Americans let the fear of terrorism turn them into cringing cowards, willing to give up our basic civil liberties for the illusion of safety, ignoring how we are 200 times more likely to die in our automobile than in a terrorist attack on our soil. I am equally embarrassed today. Many of my fellow Americans have let themselves be manipulated by corporate interests and ratings-hungry media. They have become frightened, angry, and unable to cooperate to form a more perfect union. Why do so many Americans have so little faith in our...

BS"D The sensationalist "Neda" video, which has been used to promote the idea that there is actually an organized revolution in Iran against the Communist ruling power (as if such a thing could be organized, with Communist cadre everywhere to prevent it), was faked. The video was intended for emotional impact, to convince gullible Westerners that the phony Iranian "democracy" movement is genuine. It is a typical Communist deception tactic to further their global objective. Click the article link to read about it.

Romney plays down health care As Massachusetts governor, he tackled universal coverage As governor, Mitt Romney signed the country's first comprehensive attempt at universal health coverage. On the presidential campaign trail, he has not put health care reform at the top of his agenda, nor has he embraced the central goal of the Massachusetts plan - universal coverage - as an appropriate target for the country. The story sounds like classic stump-speech material. A business leader and friend of then-Gov. Mitt Romney suggested he could make his mark if he solved Massachusetts's health care woes. WASHINGTON — In an ominous sign for the GOP, a Gallup Poll released Tuesday says the public's approval of Congress remains at lows not seen since 1994 — when insurgent Republicans kicked Democrats out of power. The survey found only 23 percent of the country approves of the job the GOP-led Congress is doing, with 71 percent saying they disapprove. Life long republican - Drive by troll
All my life, I believed in Republican values -- individual responsibility and limited government. Then it happened; I found myself with a small child, unemployed and disabled. I wonder if America is called a terrorist organization now days. In my opinion we literally are. If you look at it from a perspective. We tell countries what they can and what they can't do. If they don't abide we basically go to war with them and change their government and maybe to an extent their culture for them. Is this not a form of terrorism? To force a country to do something against their will. In my opinion it is, but that's just me. An it's not just with Iran and Iraq, which are recent acts of this,...
