What? Are you telling me that the Texans have stooped to riding on those "substandard" school buses? With no air conditioning???? Or stereo????
I love it!
Me too!! BUMP
But do those buses have air conditioning and bathrooms?
/sarc
Where do you suppose they found the drivers? Based on what Nagin said, I would assume that drivers would be hard if not impossible to find in the face of an approaching hurricane.
I FRIGGIN' LOVE IT!
Thanks for posting!
I owe you a beer! LOL

This is a racist post. You need to have a KKK sheet over your head to even think such thoughts or to draw such conclusions.
Nightline last night said something that really pissed me off -- They said Galveston had learned a lesson from NO and decided to have busses ready. BS! Galveston HAD A PLAN in place. It had nothing to do with NO. The busses would be there even if Katrina had never happened. Want to bet the media potrays NOLA gov officals as heros for showing the rest of the world how to react.
I sure wish the people of Galveston, their safety forces and their gvt well.
What a perfect opportunity to portray the N.O. debacle in sharp relief.
Great Post!!! Can you imagine those morons that live in Louisiana have not tarred and feathered Democrat scum Blanco, Landrieu and Nagin yet? What a bunch of losers in Louisiana!!!
What I worry is that the MSM will allow LA and specifically NO to selectivly clip/edit to show the TX response as one in the same as the LA response.
IE like michael moore selectivly clipping between NRA conventions and meetings.
Ain't my state GRAND!! OBTW, don't forget to mention pets are riding in the bus as well....HAPPY DOGGY! Bwahahahhaha!
"Want to bet the media potrays NOLA gov officals as heros for showing the rest of the world how to react."
but it should read
"Want to bet the media potrays NOLA gov officals as flaming idiots for showing the rest of the world how NOT to react."
Oh my!! This is great. Do you think this picture will make it to the front page of Time? It's time to "Cowboy Up"!!!
Well if you live in RED state the state officials seem to be more prepared less coruption!!!
Yep I agree with you 100%
Good for them. Coworker and I did a little speculative math: IF Nagin had followed the plan, and sent 300 schoolbuses to evacuate people, starting 72 hours before expected landfall, and IF the buses averaged 30 people, drove two hours away from NO, and took an hour at each end to load/unload/refuel, and occasionally switch drivers, each bus would have made 12 trips in the 72 hour period.
300 buses making 12 trips carrying 30 people each trip = 108,000 people evacuated. Roughly. Add a few metro buses, and take advantage of Amtrak's offer to carry people out, and almost everyone gets out.
