Did I hear him say that the area of the levy that broke was not one slated for repair if the budgeted monies came in?
That adorable blind man speaking so upbeat and positive about his rescue and all that helped him on Fox right now -God bless him and keep him well.
Whatever the number turns out to be it appears the bloated federal bureaucracy is not able to respond in ways most Americans would expect it to respond.
I think there are going to be some angry voters come Nov 06.

I just talked with my Sweet Baby and he said they finally got a generator.
But they are still boiling water.
I don't know who told them to do that!
They are older and he has stomach cancer.
He's just started chemo and can't stand to be around too much noise.
All the kids are at the residence of her sister where they stayed for the last day or so.
They decided to get a generator and go back home.
(I had no idea generators were available)
They got it at their friendly neighborhood Wal*Mart store!
We'll have to wait and see how it goes from there.

That Chevron facility is in MS. Also in order for ground water problems to occur, the leak must be over dry land. This was all wet and the product floats.
That's cause they had just worked on the darn levee...it wasn't slated for repair cause they thought they had repaired it.

I'd concur with that. There may be some damage to the refinery from the winds, although nothing seems damaged in that photo, but the water wasn't a problem.
Are you talking about the Canal St. levee? Because if so, I thought that it was the most recently completed levee, supposedly going to stand up a lot better than the previous levees.
Any further comment on this Baltimore/Houston business? I haven't seen anything anywhere on this...
