Liberal pundit Alan Colmes has blasted the book as brainwashing on his radio show, and the usually staid Wall Street Journal called it politically abrasive children's literature, And "Heather has 2 Moms" is politically nuetral?????

My wife collects children's books. We have boxes and boxes of them. I usually roll my eyes as she walks through the door with an armful of new ones. This is one book I will be glad she adds to the collection.

I think books about monsters , thieves, and murderers are a bit too violent for kids.
An illustrated story of Vince Foster in the park and Mary Jo in the water shouldnt be given to kids until they are 12 or 13.

That sounds like it might be a great book. If it has the appeal of classics like Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel, which I often read to my son when he was small because of the fond memories I had of the book from my childhood, then it's a definite winner.

You really have to read the venomous, putrid, and hateful "reviews" posted on the amazon.com by the "loving, peaceful and tolerant" leftist moonbats.

I think "Rainbow Fish" is a good book. I can see how someone might take it as "redistribution of wealth", but I saw it as being about the evils of selfishness and the joys of self-sacrifice.

Have you noticed? The media has backed off of Hillary lately. Don't want her to peak too early.

I think a perfect follow up book could be "Help! Mom! There are Liberals in our Backyard!"
It'd be a story about a neighbor sending his kids to build a BMX track in the hero's backyard. When asked what they were doing, the BMX builder's father becomes beligerant and abusive. He knows where the property line is, but he doesn't give a rat's behind.
The end segment is where the tolerant hero allows the BMX track to be built in the wilds of his backyard, and one of the kids falls from his bike, injuring himself. The hero is then sued in to oblivion.
Oh! Wait! Aside from the end part, that happened to me last night! Well, it'd make good non-fiction anyway.

If this book was about gay kings I am reminded of Edward II's last words: "I always said that Roger Mortimer is a pain in the--."
