The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

Let them know about Cindy now being featured on Al Jazeera. Also let them know about the service man from the Kosovo war where his father was not happy with Clinton's response and the dirth of MSM coverage on that story.
CNTTXAN indicates that the level of people has remained about the same...but that does not do justice to the numbers because quite a few are leaving with others coming. He can't give an overall estimate, but it is higher than the high mark of 150+ people there at once.
Freeper Basil was talking as we were speaking and I could here her giving 'em what for in the background. Go Basil!
CNTTXAN indicates that the LEOs there are their friends, appreciative of many of the Freepers service to their country, in Iraq and elsewhere, so that there is absolutely no traction for the anti-protestors to get the police worked up over the pro troop rally.
CNTTXAN indicated that they would be rapping up the rally in the next 1/2 to full hour so our next update will be the last...although some people are going to hang around.
So, again, that's it for now. PLease continue to BUMP the thread often. Post comments and pictures (like any more from FOX) you may find.

HAvn't heard direct news on others. I have been talking to CNTXAN and he's talked mostly about the rally itself in general and various occurances there.

Many years ago I had the honor of seeing a the Presidential motorcade of Ronald Reagan returning from a speech at the UN. The motorcade hauls A**. So as much as Cindy Sheehan makes it look like a big insult to her that the motorcade sped by, It's just the way it's done!

Only Texans know how desperately HOT it is in Crawford today. Once again, I'd like to ask everyone to say a prayer for the safety of our "more mature" FReepers who are out there - standing in the oven.

Not a lurker, but.....Cindy Bin Ladin is looking for a book deal or a part in Moore's next fiction movie. 15 minutes of fame can make people do hateful, deadly things.
How many more will die in Iraq because of her and her Al Jazeera supporters ??? I can't believe she's doing all this to our service men in Iraq by accident. It's too late for that.
