Surprise possibility [for SCOTUS]: ORIN HATCH
brain and remembering a while ago | 7.2.05 | RFace and other(s)

Posted on 07/02/2005 4:44:27 PM PDT by rface

I remember some talk long ago -- a couple years maybe - that Hatch might be a possibility for SCOTUS.

I think Hatch would be a good pick, for one reason he is pretty conservative and he is good natured and seems not to be full of himself, but maybe Justices for the SCOTUS need to be full of themselves.

A second reason Hatch would be a good pick is because he gets along with so many of the retarded Senators --- like Fat Teddy, and I suspect they have a difficult time slinging the feces like they intend to do.

Sure - he's no judge, but that doesn't matter - I say put Hatch on the bench

He sings good too.

so what is the matter with this idea?? Should I call Bush now with this wonderful idea or wait for some of your input?

Sorry!!!! I intended to include this in the body of the post above:

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orin Hatch (R) "has been spreading the word" that "perhaps it's time his name should be sent to" his committee as the next Supreme Court nominee, the Washingtonian reports. "Hatch has surfaced in the past as a potential Supreme Court nominee. If anything works against him now, it will be his age -- 68." But his "renewed interest in the court has confounded judge pickers at the White House. They worry that if they choose someone else, the powerful chairman might not be helpful."

He is too old! Wouldn't last very long on the bench! Forget it!

"...he gets along with so many of the retarded Senators..."

Uh, a) Don't you think there's a reason for that? and b) Do you think that's actually a good thing?

How about putting Teddy Kennedy on the bench? He's a lawyer.

Dude - Hatch is no longer Chairman of the Committee! That seat is now owned by Arlen Specter -- and no, the President dooesn't need to appoint him.

Hatch is in the hip pocket of the RIAA and MPAA on intellectual property issues. No thanks.

Next time you get a really lame vanity, remember to put Worthless Vanity in the title, so as not to waste people's time.

Orin and Arlen went to the RINO School of Politics. Orin isn't nearly as bad as Arlen but he's NOT a conservative. Especially when it comes to judicial matters.

Hatch wouldn't squat to pee, until Ted "the swimmer" okay'ed him to do so....

No ..... the SCOTUS is WAY above Hatch's intellect and capability..
