Hillary Clinton in Evangelical Outreach

2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is reportedly consulting with a prominent evangelical minister who's coaching her on how to communicate with Christian fundamentalists, a top clergyman said this week.

"She has engaged the former president of the National Association of Evangelicals, Assemblies of God minister Dr. Don Argue," Rev. Rob Schenck said Thursday.

Schenck is president of the National Clergy Council. Appearing on Bill Bennett's "Morning in America" radio show, Rev. Schenck told fill-in host Steve Malzberg that Rev. Dr. Argue had visited with the Clintons "numerous times in the White House" and is now helping Mrs. Clinton "learn the language of evangelicalism."

"If she could peel off a small percentage of the evangelical vote, she strongly increases her chances of winning in '08," Schenck told Malzberg.

The leading evangelical first detailed the stunning political development on Monday, in an interview on WBT Charlotte, North Carolina's Jason Lewis Show - where Malzberg was also filling in.

The revelation came two days after Schenck walked out of Rev. Billy Graham's New York City revival, where the Clintons appeared onstage. At the event, Graham suggested that Mr. Clinton should start a ministry of his own while letting Mrs. Clinton "run the country."

Under Rev. Argue's tutelage, Schenck said, Mrs. Clinton "has made a number of overtures to evangelical groups and leaders to sit down and meet with them." However she has yet to follow through and arrange an actual meeting, he noted.

Secretary of State Warren Christopher, on behalf of President Clinton, invited (Dr.) Don Argue to serve on the State Department Advisory Committee on Religious Freedom Abroad in 1996.

I have been a Southern Baptist minister for over 30 years, and I don't personally know any SBC ministers who have anything but contempt for the Clintons. There are a few like Rex Horne though. Horne was infatuated with being the "President's Pastor." The Bible speaks about ministers like him and those who are true God's Word:

2 Chr 19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

2 Tim 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Jer 29:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. Jer 29:9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

1 Ki 21:17 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,1 Ki 21:18 "Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who lives in Samaria. There he is, in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone down to take possession of it. 1 Ki 21:19 "You shall speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD: "Have you murdered and also taken possession?" ' And you shall speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the LORD: "In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs shall lick your blood, even yours."' "1 Ki 21:20 So Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, O my enemy?" And he answered, "I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the LORD: 1 Ki 21:21 'Behold, I will bring calamity on you. I will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab every male in Israel, both bond and free. 1 Ki 21:22 'I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.'
1 Ki 21:23 "And concerning Jezebel the LORD also spoke, saying, 'The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.' 1 Ki 21:24 "The dogs shall eat whoever belongs to Ahab and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the field." 1 Ki 21:25 But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the

Resources on Religious Freedom, Religious Persecution Abroad

Global religious freedom and religious persecution abroad are urgent public policy issues and will continue to reach into the life of our churches. We at the NCC hope that the following resources will help you, your church and your community as you seek to respond to these important concerns.

We hope that both ecumenically and together and in the life of our individual churches, we can bring attention to religious persecution in ways that reflect the best sensitivities, understandings and commitments of our shared Christian faith.

And

Religious leaders will monitor violations of freedom abroad

...Don Argue, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, and James Henry, pastor of First Baptist in Orlando and former head of the Southern Baptist Convention

Joan Brown Campbell is General Secretary of the National Council of Churches of Christ (USA). April 26, 1992:

Joan B. Campbell: One of the mistakes that people often make is they think of certain churches as conservative. The fact of the matter is that within every congregation there probably is a range of liberals and conservatives. There is a kind of myth that goes around that the National Council is perhaps not concerned with spiritual things, but concerned too much with things of the world or political things.

Liberal Christians Organize ... November 18, 2003:

Clergy Leadership Network comes together to advance a partisan religious agenda. Liberal Christians have launched an advocacy organization dedicated to mobilizing voters in opposition to what they call a right-wing agenda.

The group, the Clergy Leadership Network, plans to officially launch its campaign Friday. Leaders say they'll operate from an expressly religious and partisan point of view — organizing for issues the left holds dear. Members include the Rev. William Sloane Coffin and the former head of the National Council of Churches, Joan Brown Campbell.

We have our work cut out for us in 2008. The Clintons are cunning and skilled like few other Democratic politicians. Their photo op with Billy Graham is just an example of their ability to be all things to all people.

Saturday she was with Billy Graham. On the 11pm local news on Sunday, they showed her marching in the gay parade.

Is this before or after she supports increased funding for abortions, marches in the sodomite rights parade, and continues to cover for the multiple rape charges against her husband?

In a way I admire her, the way I admire a shark or cobra- an effective machine well adapted to its environment, ruthless, quick and precise it its strike. Amoral, (or immoral- I won't "Argue") yes, but underestimate it and suffer dire consequences. Admire in the same sense that I have a DVD of "Triumph Of The Will". She is smart in that she tries to learn from the mistakes of others, and usually does not make the same error twice (e.g. the socialized healthcare fiasco, the 'stay at home and bake cookies' brouhaha; it's not the tactial error, per se- everyone in public life makes those- it is that she is QUICK to recover and change approach, unlike a putz such as Kerry, Gore or Dukakais.

Looks like Hillary's gonna be mighty busy with her Extreme Makeover. The question is ---in light of the resounding 2004 Values Voters Victories---how "conservative" will Hillary get?

After she opens a charge at Wal-Mart, enrolls in divinity school, and gets a lifetime membership in the John Birch Society, she'll need to get a shopper's card at Sam's Club, and schedule daily morning prayer services in her Senate office.

And just to make sure she covers all bases, Bill will take an anti-adultery pledge in the vestibule of the National Cathedral, when Hillary takes her minister's vows.

Oh, and after rifle-range practice, Hillary will campaign for 2008 wearing
the official DNC apron, and give Easy-Bake oven cookie demonstrations.

Disgusting! It's hard to believe that a preacher who knows the Word of God, would mock Him by helping Hillary in an attempt to win the Presidency. He will answer for this on Judgment Day. Hillary Clinton will be the worst nightmare Americans will ever know, and he helped her.

If this is true, then it's time Dr. Graham retired.

"It's all a matter of packaging with the Clintons, isn't it? Just say anything to pull the wool over the stupid sheep's eyes so they don't see your radical pro-abortion, pro-government promotion of homosexual activity, pro-religious litmus test for judiciary agenda."

Let's not forget Bill's continuous adulterous acts and Hillary's constant lies, and communist/militant-feminist affiliations. A ministry? What was the Reverend Graham thinking? I almost attended the event, and after learning the devil's pawns were there, I'm glad I didn't.
