Senator Hillary Clinton's office is actively trying to discourage interviewers from giving TV time to Ed Klein, author of the controversial bestseller "The Truth About Hillary," Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz confirmed on Sunday.
"A spokesman for Senator Clinton told me that when news organizations call, they do make the argument, why give this guy airtime," Kurtz said, while hosting CNN's "Reliable Sources."
Kurtz's comment is the first by a mainstream journalist acknowledging that Sen. Clinton is actively trying to suppress Klein's book in a campaign first reported by NewsMax Monday morning. After being booked on numerous TV Shows, Klein has been hit with a tidal wave of cancellations, with only one show - Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" - bucking the pressure to ignore the book.
Cable TV network sources contacted by NewsMax on Friday, however, said they hadn't been pressured to drop Klein.
Buffalo News columnist Douglas Turner suggested last week, however, that Mrs. Clinton has much of the press under her thumb, saying she "totally controls" their agenda.
"Her media operation is tightly controlled and highly protective, and not always responsive," he wrote.
"Clinton has met with the New York press corps only a couple of times since 2000," Turner noted. "By contrast with [her predecessor, Sen. Pat Moynihan's] regimen, where the reporters had a share in the agenda, Clinton totally controls it."
Agreed (from someone that has read the book)
Controlling the media is nothing to brag about. When was the last time the media had overwhelming influence over national elections? They didn't have it for clinton version 1.0 (who never won more than 50% of the popular vote), they sure aren't gonna have overwhelming influence for clinton version 2.0.
I don't believe a word of it. All this smells of a staged event.
I don't know about you, but I think this is alarming, when one woman can censor 90% of television coverage.
I don't know what hold she has on the networks. To me, if the book weren't true, she would laugh it off as nonsense. But the fact she is trying to censor it says a lot.
"The Bride of Satan" is baring her fangs..
If Hillary is so smart why does everything appear to be a surprise to her?
You are exactly right!
THE FOLLOWING ARE A FEW Q&AS ABOUT THE SALACIOUS PARTS OF KLEINS BOOK. YOU CAN READ THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW AT THE WEBSITE POSTED.

Q&A by Kathryn Jean Lopez
NRO: Matt Drudge has highlighted the "rape" claim in your book. Which, to be upfront here, I thought was a terrible story to be highlighting, about a child and her parents. Why on earth would you put such a terrible story in your book? that looks to be flimsily sourced at that. But even if it wasnt why tell it?
KLEIN: Let's set the record straight here. Actually, I don't make that claim in the book. I included the story about their 1979 trip to Bermuda because Hillary herself brings it up and spins it in her own book as an example of their supposedly romantic marriage. The point of the story is that my source, who was with the Clintons in Bermuda and quoted Bills boastful remarks to me, was stunned when Bill phoned him a few months later and told him he just learned of Hillary's pregnancy by reading about it in the newspaper! Those who read the book will see this is hardly a rape story rather it's yet another example of a bizarre political union where a pregnancy is leaked to the largest newspaper in the state and treated as political gain rather than shared privately as a couple.
I ordered the book from Amazon, and it arrived today, right after lunch. I am almost half-way through it.
Much of what is being said in the media about it isn't quite accurate. Does that surprise anyone here? So far, there is interesting information about the Watergate period, Hillary's role in the Nixon impeachment, and I see plenty of sources.
Klein writes well, and it isn't a hard read. I would suggest that those of you who haven't gotten a copy do so, for it confirms my view of liberal politics. What a nasty game.
Well .. it does bother me .. but the book is #2 or #3 on the NYT best seller list .. so I don't think her censorship is working. The only people who will bow to her are the NETWORKS - the talk shows and the internet are blabbing full blast.
With the viewership so low on the networks .. she's only denying her lap dogs from getting the information .. and they wouldn't believe it anyway.
Hillary Clinton is a *dictator* NOW, and has been dictating at least since she became the first, er, ah, lady. During Bill Clinton's two consecutive presidential terms, Hillary built up the means to ensure her future political dominance...at taypayers' expense. Trace her movements and associations during those 8 years and you have the real story.
America has mortal enemies on two war fronts: international fanatical muslim terrorism; at home radical subversion by leftist nefarious-politik activism.
"Her media operation is tightly controlled and highly protective,"
Ruling the MSM, Hillary is desperate to muzzle the internet. Since the Democratic minority in Congress looks to be calling the shots, I expect there will be major legislative efforts toward censorship before the next general election.
***I expect there are current major efforts toward thought control, disinformation and censorship in advance of the next general election. The internet is the last frontier for free speech and free flow of information. You can be assured that Hillary and her Democrat Cult are desperate to muzzle the internet.
Nothing condemns Hillary Clinton more than her own words and actions.
Oh, my goodness--yer killin' me! LOL! More Hitlery than I ever wanted to see on my ping page--now I need disinfectant! *shudder* Thanks for a good laugh!
Lord help us if she even runs for president! There will be so much chaos involved and bad words back and forth that it will be the worst presidential campaign ever...no matter who runs on the R side! Gives me a headache to even think about it! Ugh!
Thanks for the ping!
#25 - wow, that's neat!
