In it, the author, a former university professor who wishes to remain anonymous, claims to know the actual mechanism behind intelligent design. That is the mechanism by which God created the universe, our world and all biological life within it.

There is something that rings inevitably bogus about an "anonymous source" with a "revolutionary mechanism".

I won't waste my time.

I thought the Big Bang had been discarded as unworkable in favor of M Theory. Membranes in 11 dimensional space and all.

My anonymous source tells a different story.

Cree Creation Story

When light first came to the earth, O-ma-ma-ma the earth mother of the Cree people gave birth to the spirits of the world. The first born was Binay-sih, the thunderbird who protects the animals from the sea serpent, Genay-big. Thunderbirds shout out their unhappiness or anger with black clouds, rain and fire flashes in the sky. The second born was Ina-kaki, the lowly frog who heightens the sorcerer's powers and helps to control the insects in the world. The third born was the trickster Wee-sa-hay-jac, who can change himself into many forms or shapes to protect himself. The fourth child was Ma-heegun, Wee-sa-hay-jac's little wolf brother. They travel together with Wee-sa-hay-jac on his back. The fifth born was Amik the beaver, who is greatly respected because he is an unfortunate human from a different world. Fish, rocks, grasses, and trees all came from the womb of the great earth mother O-ma-ma-ma. The earth was inhabited a long time by only animals and spirits because Wee-sa-hay-jac had not yet made any people.

Soooo glad to see another of your creation stories. I know it is difficult to check historical data, but the Bible is historically correct in everything that we have been able to verify. Not one inconsistency to date. While this may not prove the story of Genesis scientifically, it certainly lends credence to the possibility that it may be devinely inspired writing.

Kelly repeated shows she does not know her Bible very well.

(Gen 1:1 KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

water came before anything, or at least, was the only visible form of any matter.

For her to state that God used light to form matter, she is ignorant of the very first 2 verses of the Bible and their implications to Creation.

Another thread for the Evo-Nazis to bash other peoples beliefs.

Or maybe another thread for the Creation/IDers to bash science?

With name calling like "Evo-Nazis" you are off to a good start there. Or are you just assuming your side is right and everyone else is stoopid?

"Genesis and the Big Bang" and "The Science of God" are two good books on the subject by Dr. Gerald L. Schroeder" former MIT prof. and now teaching (last I heard) in Jerusalem.

How do you know that a turtle didn't bring up mud after the flood, or Coyote and Eagle didn't create people? You are choosing your beliefs about creation over the beliefs of others, when you have the same scientific basis for them as they do (i.e., none).

I assume nothing, I know from lurking on many Evo threads that you and your fellow believers will gang up on anyone who disagrees with you. Any moment the Evo ping will go out and I will be flamed mercilessly until the thread runs out of steam. Evolution is a flawed theory that is constantly being reworked. IF the day comes that evolution is a proven fact, instead of a belief, let me know.

These small structural changes would not occur by mutation as the theory of evolution suggests, but rather by EMF causing and creating ever-increasing complex relationships between the nucleotides along the DNA strand.

I'm no Darwinist, but EMF is non-ionizing because it lacks sufficient energy to move protons and neutrons around. It affects electrons only, and that effect is temporary with the net effect ultimately zero (an electron moved away from one atom is replaced immediately by one freed from an adjacent atom). That is electron drift, the basis of electric current. If nonionizing EMF could mutate DNA so readily, radio and TV engineers would be terribly mutated creatures begging to be killed to end their suffering, and the rest of us sitting in from of the high-voltage cathode-ray tubes of computer monitors would likely be not much better off.

Better study the methods of science. There are no "proven" theories or "proven facts," not even gravity or electricity. Scientists know evolution is a theory, but unfortunately some with strong religious beliefs make a big deal of this as they think that by labeling evolution a theory they can discredit it. "Its just a theory, nothing to take seriously."

This just demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the workings of science.

That's fine, now would you explain to me where all the water came from? It can't be easy to create water, yet the world is overflowing with it. Where did it come from?
