SEATTLE - Mary Kay Letourneau and her former sixth-grade pupil the father of her two youngest children will be married Friday night, "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" reported Thursday.
Tents were being set up Thursday afternoon for the ceremony in a secluded spot in King County, according to the television programs, which obtained exclusive rights to cover the event.
A rehearsal dinner for bridesmaids, groomsmen and relatives was planned Thursday.
Letourneau, now 43, served 7 1/2 years in prison after she was convicted of raping Vili Fualaau, now 22. She was released last August.
The couple first met when he was in second grade. Their relationship became sexual when he was 12 and she was a 34-year-old married mother of four teaching at his elementary school
Celebrating perversity. How nice.
Only in Seattle!!!!!!!!!!!
At least now their union is no longer sinful...or illegal.
And I didn't get an invitation?
Good point. I wish them the best of luck.
In King County, no less.
I can think of no more appropriate a locale for such an august occasion.
It's a Holy affair. This is the best remedy possible, and it is to be celebrated.
How sick.
Ain't love grand?
Major Barf/Pedophile alert
How long do you think it will last? I give it a year.
May they build a "Bayis Ne'eman" in Seattle.
Just wondering, are either of them employed?
Oh lovely, this will be all over the news 5 trillion times tomorrow...yuck.... note to self... don't turn on tv tomorrow.
They both deserve each other. He will dump her once he comes to his senses.
It sure is going to be an interesting conversation when they explain to their two young daughters why 'mommy' was on 'vacation' for 7 years and now is back.
As the song says, love is strange.
What she did was horrible, cheating her husband and leaving her family to be with this guy. But since it's lasted this long and produced new kids is almost redeeming. I take it as evidence it could last until death.
