GOVERNOR RENDELL TO UNVEIL MARKER HONORING THOSE WHO COMMIT ACTS OF SODOMY AT NATIONAL CELEBRATION April 28, 2005

Our Nation is in a downward spiral. Good is called evil and evil is called good. My eldest son Caleb and I have traveled to Philadelphia to speak up for righteousness during a celebration of sin hosted by Equality Forum. Please pray for the outreaches that will be taking place during this week and ask that the Father will draw the lost to Himself.

Below are several excerpts from a recent press release from Equality Forum. This sinful nation is begging the Living God to pour out His wrath upon her. May we be found taking the gospel to the lost and earnestly seeking the Father for revival.

GOVERNOR RENDELL TO UNVEIL MARKER AT NATIONAL CELEBRATION

Independence Hall Designated as Site of First Gay and Lesbian Demonstration

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) has approved a Historical Marker recognizing the area around Independence Hall as the site of the first organized and annual gay and lesbian civil rights demonstration.

"We are thrilled that this important landmark has been approved unanimously by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission," said Malcolm Lazin, Executive Director of Equality Forum.

Equality Forum prepared the application with advice from Gay Pioneers Frank Kameny and Barbara Gittings, who helped organize the first demonstration. The demonstration was held at Independence Hall on July 4, 1965. Governor Rendell is expected to unveil the Historical Marker at the National Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the GLBT Civil Rights Movement on Sunday, May 1 at Independence Hall.

The 16-hour National Celebration on Sunday, May 1 includes a Gay Pioneers & 40 Heroes Tribute, the National Celebration Concert with Cyndi Lauper, an Interfaith Service at historic Christ Church with Bishop Gene Robinson, Conversations with Gay Leaders at the National Constitution Center, screenings of Gay Pioneers, a Gay Icons Pavilion at Independence Visitors Center, celebrities, the SundayOUT street festival, and parties. There is no registration fee for Equality Forum 2005 and all substantive events including the National Celebration are free.

The National Celebration is part of Equality Forum 2005, which features over 100 programs including 14 parties and 40 special events. More than 105 local and national non-profit organizations and 29 national and international GLBT Executive Directors will be participating. Thirty-two (32) states and the District of Columbia will hold State Receptions on Saturday, April 30.

Well, we here in Pittsburgh always called it "Philthy-Delphia," well it looks like they have another reason on their resume. I'm ashamed "Fast Eddie" Rendell is our governor.

I agree. The government should be neutral on a complex and controversial issue like the morality of homosexual activity. It has no business promoting it, as Rendell is doing.

The people of Sodom weren't exactly legally bound to follow the scriptures of one particular religion over another either. That didn't help them much.

If God is going to judge this nation, He'll do it on his own terms - without asking either of us for our permission, or consulting our laws first.

I'm wondering if somebody from the FBI shouldn't be keeping tabs on you

Maybe they should be keeping tabs on you. Get lost.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

Note to residents of PA - the meaning of Philadelphia is the city of brotherly love. Got it? Love and same sex sodomy have nothing to do with each other.

Does the phrase "they glory in their shame" ring a bell?

Let me know if you want on/off this pinglist.

Statement by the founder of Free Republic:

In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule. Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing. As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

And I agree with about 90% of that-- pretty damn conservative if you ask me.

I don't at all agree with JimRob's position on gay rights, but since I haven't been banned yet at nearly one year and close to 1,500 posts, JimRob must not need robots like you to force your definition of a true conservative upon me and the other Libertarian-leaning FReepers (and there are many of us on here).
