Are newspaper editors/editorial writers assholes in every city in the world?

I thought it was just a Hawaii thing.

I hope the editors at the LA Times aren't telling these bedtime stories to their own kids. I hope they don't have kids, period.

I'd like to see them argue for pulling the plug on brain-dead writing appearing in their columns for at least the past 15 years!

It's obvious that the newspapers are dying a slow death with no chance of recovery. We need to speed them on their way by stopping all wages to their employees.

If there is any crassness to be found here, it is in this disgusting Op-Ed piece.

I don't believe that the L.A. Times has enough "class" to teach anyone else even the rudiments; certainly they did not evince any in this op-ed piece.

But they did exhibit world-class crassness in this editorial, and, indeed, if they were able to find students willing to pay for lessons in that subject, they could easily give them, having thoroughly mastered it.

Oh, of course, they could not ask for contributions to fight their cause (which will affect all of us), only Michael is free to do as he pleases - especially if it means killing and denying parents the right to care for an invalid daughter no one in the country wanted.

Oh, of course, they were merely in it for the money.

Just where were they to get the money? Just where did Michael get his money to spend 8 years fighting the Schlinders?

Never underestimate a newspaper employee's ability to disappoint you and lower the standards for human thought. In all fairness though, these newspaper people draw all kinds of con-artists and lobbyists to them who flatter them that if they keep selling out their integrity and decency, one day they'll be the next media superstar and will have people like themselves groveling at their every demand and perversion.

Terri Schiavo's parents turned her death the State's execution of their daughter into a three-ring circus.

Just where do you libs get off thinking that everything that was wrong with this situation was her parents????? I think you had better re-think what your day dreaming about...

Unfortunately there isn't enough time nor room here to tell you how wrong you are in your thought processing...maybe you had better have a C-Scan of your brain sometime....

You know, of course, that letters to the editor that are critical of the editorial writers or anything the newspaper is doing will be suppressed -- while those praising their writers as the smartest , most noble human beings on the planet will be printed prominently and replicated throughout all the newspapers in the land. That's also how they manage their outrageous poll results too -- or eliminate all opposing and dissenting opinion, expert and otherwise.

You'll never read about these things except on these threads -- so why bother playing the newspaper game anymore?

It will be interesting to see which side in this will be the first to come out with a book/movie deal.

I don't think we need to read a book on how bad the newspapers and their ilk have become. It's pretty obvious to what depths of deception and manipulation they will sink to.
