A thorough analysis of the Koran reveals that the US will cease to exist in the year 2007, according to research published by Palestinian scholar Ziad Silwadi.
The study, which has caught the attention of millions of Muslims worldwide, is based on in-depth interpretations of various verses in the Koran. It predicts that the US will be hit by a tsunami larger than that which recently struck southeast Asia.

Interestingly, 2007 is the year where the world's largest Communist country, the PRC, is "supposed" to complete WTO ascension. Therefore, the 2006 - 2007 period is actually quite a dangerous period. Why? Simply this. As the WTO deadline approaches, certain observations will be made. If the PRC is going to back out, it would become obvious that something was rotten, and the US and its allies may adopt a war footing. Conversely, after a certain point, the PRC would be so wrapped up in the WTO arrangement (not to mention the pending Olympics) that it would become difficult for them to prepare for war undeteacted. So, if the PRC (and other countries?) were thinking about starting a war, the 2006 - 2007 window is when I would expect it - if not then, the next plausible window comes after 2009.

I'm at the Gulf Coast too (TX), but it doesn't really count in this argument, as FL would absorb any damage we might sustain from the Atlantic, and Cuba the rest...

It is exactly Art Bell material. However, it is possible and a giant asteroid impact is also possible. 2007 is way too soon for total economic collapse, so they must be thinking of total thermonuclear annihilation, and if that happens the US won't be going down alone.
And as of today all Koran scholars, "ZOT" ceased to exsist.
