Schiavo's responses to allegationsThursday, March 24, 2005 In chat rooms, on 24-hour cable news channels and at water coolers across America, the same questions keep popping up about Michael Schiavo's decision to remove the feeding tube that keeps his wife, Terri, alive. Here is what he says, based on recent interviews with ABC's Nightline and CNN's Larry King Live:
Q. Are you making money off her death? A. There is no money. I will not receive a penny.
Q. Why don't you just get a divorce and marry this new woman in your life? A. I made a promise to Terri. I'm going to stick by her side and I'm going to do this for her. Terri is not a piece of property that you pass back and forth. She didn't say, 'When I become sick, give me back to my parents.' I will stick by Terri.
Q. What about a miracle? A. You can't regrow a brain.
Q. Why are you afraid to let Terri have a fair trial in federal court? A. That's an absurd statement. This trial, this court action has been lasting for seven years. Nineteen judges have heard this case.
Q. Terri is Catholic and Pope John Paul II has specifically said it is morally wrong to withhold food and water from someone in a vegetative state. A. That's another absurd statement. A lot of Catholics are taken off ventilators. A lot of Catholics have living wills. ... Terri was a Catholic but she wasn't a devout Catholic.
Q. You are starving her to death. If you did that to a dog, you'd be arrested. A. She is not dying by starvation. This is a natural, painless death. What happens when you stop eating, your electrolytes will slowly diminish. You'll slowly go into a nice deep sleep and then pass away. This happens to people all the time. People with cancer in their last two or three weeks of living, they stop eating. This is how they die.
Q. Terri's parents say Terri is responsive. She even smiles. A. Terri does not respond to anybody. She makes noises. She moans. She's been doing the same thing for 15 years.
Q. Why don't you just take the money being offered by various people, give up guardianship to her parents and marry your new woman? A. It's not about the money. This is about Terri. It's not about the Schindlers (Terri's parents). It's not about the legislators. It's not about me. It's about what Terri Schiavo wanted. |
Notice he did not mention the allegations about his abusing Terry.

A TRUE liberal. The question is about witholding food and water, the answer is about coming off of ventialtors.
Where's the "why did it take you seven years" question. And the one about how he started trying to kill her the day he got is settlement.

This same asshole admitted on a Larry King interview that he killed BOTH of his parents the same way - had their food and hydration cut off - and he said it was a 'peaceful, painless way to go', and the only way quicker and easier is an anyurism.
The bastard has been thru this process before.

This is what amazes me the most of this case. There is evidence of broken ribs, femur and vertebrae. How is that it was never investigated?.

My suspicion - The only difference between Scott Peterson and MS - Scott is in San Quentin, and MS get's to kill his wife in public, with public (Judge Greer & FL State's)sanction, and be a millionaire.
I hope ther is karma, because I feel very strongly there is a lot of it coming to the people who did Terri Schindler this way.
Seems to me that no matter which side of the issue one is on, you can not logically say that she is not dying by starvation, or at least dehydration. That's the whole point of removing food and water from her, so she will die. Schiavo makes starvation sound like it's equivalent to taking some NyQuil and nodding off for some nice dreamless sleep.
