With apologies to Doug From Upland -- (Sung to the tune of "The Beverley Hillbillies" theme)

Let me tell 'ya a little story
'bout a Freeper named Bob
Could'nt buy a house
though he had a good job
then one day he asked his wife
"Do we have to stay here for the rest of our lives?"

"No" she said
"Let's go"
"LA sucks"

Well the next thing you know
'Ol Bob is on the net
Scoutin' out a place
that would be a good bet
His company said "If some one else quits,
than to our Dallas office, you can then split."

Texas that is,
Bush Voters
Swimming Pools

NO MOVIE STARS!

Oh. man, that is Post of the Day material! Hilarious and sadly accurate at the same time.

Outstanding! Are there actual for real Walmarts I can shop at close by?

Walmart wanted to build a store close to my house, the the Inglewood city council would'nt let 'em do it. I am so looking forward to having these Berkeley, UCLA, Stanford trained brown shirts behind me.

Thanks! I've heard plenty about the Texas summer -- our new home has central air and a pool. If I survived SoCal Santa Ana conditions in schoolrooms/homes without A/C, I think I handle the impessive Texas summers, with the help of some modern amenities. :-)

Laugh... well we're not in Dallas - but welcome to Texas! We moved here from NC 13 years ago and have never once regretted it! It's the place for us..

One of these days I'm going to get a bumper sticker I've seen that says..

"I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could"

I think it's illegal to sell homes and cars in Texas without A/C.

My first priority is to find a Bible Thumping, Spirit Filled Jesus Freak style church.

You might try this Find A Church link from Dallas Theological Seminary which is a strong Bible-based seminary in your area.

You'd have to behave yourself in Hurst if you were there today.

One of my boys is an undercover cop over there.

Welcome to the Great State of Texas...

Based on what I see watching The Shield, LA is a good place to be from.

The one thing good about LA? It's easy to spell.

The phone company office is right behind Best Products, on Park Place. Small world, isn't it?
