This Saturday, March 19 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the Old North State Chapter of Free Republic is holding a rally to support our troops.
The rally will serve as a counter-demonstration of a so-called antiwar rally being held that same day in Fayetteville.
This small town in North Carolina is being targeted by the anti-American left because it is the home of Fort Bragg. The leftists are trying to undermine the morale of military families and the soldiers stationed there.
Freepers will be holding a peaceful, law-abiding demonstration in support for our troops and their mission fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The rally will begin around 11 a.m. on the high ground across from Rowan Park in Fayetteville. It will end around 4 p.m.
Please bring American and service flags, as well as signs bearing messages of support for our troops and their mission. Local rules limit the size of signs to 2 feet by 2 feet.
More info can be found here.
When I met Laura in the kitchen at the Hard Rock, she said --- Oh, you're a FReeper! She knows we support her.
I wish she would come out with us on Saturday. She would have a great time.
The dissent never came from the "locals" in Fayette-nam; The dissent was always imported, courtesy of Jane Fonda and her friend's bottomless pockets.
Doug, we know her pretty well. When we protested at the VP house a few years back, she was there quite often with her dog. She lives in that area and joined us.
She was out of a job at the time so couldn't be seen or filmed actually protesting. Believe me, she is with us.
There's nothing sexier than a conservative woman with a dog!

Are you coming to Fayetteville? It would be pretty cool to meet the famous kristinn. I read on another thread that Doctor Raoul is coming. I finally went ahead and bought a digital camera so I could take plenty of pictures.
I'm pretty excited about this. I worked all day yesterday making my sign, and it looks really good. Do you think local authorites will get overly picky about the sizes of our signs? I cut down the board so that it's got the same number of square inches as a 24" x 24" sign (actually a few less), but in order to make it the right shape for what I wanted to put on it, it's actually 20" x 28.5".
Aren't there going to be a few different groups present? How do FReepers know themselves from everyone else? I've never been to one of these things.
Yeah, I know...I ask too many questions.
Sorry but will be at the Bentonville re-enactment this weekend
We can't go until Saturday - Billy leaves for Atlanta at 5:00 p.m. Friday.
Are you participating?
My husband was with the 173rd in Nam also. I will be at the rally on Saturday. I look forward to meeting you.
Unfortunately not. But it's just down the road for me (maybe about an hour or so) So I'm going to ride down Saturday and Sunday to attend. One of the local camps will be participating but haven't had as much time as I've wished this year to get into it.
I knew she liked us but wasn't aware she was at the GET OUT OF CHENEY'S HOUSE party. Didn't she speak at a FReeper event in Las Vegas?
Thanks for supporting our troops!
We've had enough of Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane!

O'NEILL: ...None of us will ever forget the day Kerry testi-fied before Congress. It was like the Kennedy assassination.
And so we just couldn't live in the United States if we didn't make a statement about his testimony in 1971...."
Bentonville battleground is only 45 miles from Rowan Park...if anyone needs directions post reply or freepmail me.
I heard you and Dr. Raoul this morning. I wish I knew she stopped in the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas last week. I eat lunch there with people from work sometimes. It IS a great bar and restaurant. You can eat outside under big umbrellas!
