Tonight on the Fox Show "Foxwatch," its weekly show on the media itself, a letter from a Freeper was read concerning Easongate. Kristinn from the D.C. Chapter was sharp enough to catch it, and call me.
Here is the entire e-mail. They read all or part of the first paragraph as being from "John in Highlands, NC." That's me.
I hope I spoke for most of you in what I said:
Lordy, Lordy, folks,
Of course the bloggers forced Eason Jordan out. We tried to force him out years ago when he published his mealymouthed justification for slanting the CNN news from Baghdad in favor of Saddam Hussein to maintain their bureau in that city. We failed then, because we weren't strong enough. Now, we are.
I am ABD from the Ph.D. program at Jane's American University (in Public Policy) to concentrate on other things including practicing in the US Supreme Court and blogging. You call yourself "Newswatch." You are no such thing as long as you don't understand the nature and power of us bloggers. {It is no surprise that this paragraph was not quoted on the Show.]
[Personal information deleted.]
P.S. I've written two articles on Easongate, both of which offer far more accuracy about this subject than your entire panel could muster, tonight.

This was my third attempt to get this media Show to use an e-mail on its blind spot about us and our news efforts. I had almost given up trying to get through to these people.
Guess that shows that it is worthwhile to write "letters to the Editor" in the broadcast media. We ARE breathing down their necks. But part of our success requires forcing them to realize that fact.

The Show is "News Watch," not "Fox Watch." And the Show will be rebroadcast at 11:30 p.m. Eastern.

I was watching the show and saw the e-mail being read.
My reaction was; it must be a Freeper or someone with a conservative website.
You hit the nail on the head. Good job. - Tom

Good job, CB. I have watched the show on occasion, but can barely get past the flaming liberal cheshire cat Gabler.

I saw it! I hardly ever watch that program (it's a lazy day here). FR wasn't mentioned, but it was a great quote. You could almost hear them drawing a breath.

I'm uncertain from reading the thread whether you've included the entire letter you sent them. Was this the entire letter minus only personal information?

Yes, that was my whole letter, minus my address and phone number. These media people never read more than half a page. LOL.
