Accused Child Molester Says He Was 'Sleepwalking'
Incidents Allegedly Took Place In 2001, 2002
POSTED: 12:15 am EST February 2, 2005
BRIDGETON, N.J. -- Lawyers for a New Jersey man charged with molesting his girlfriend's 14-year-old daughter said the accused man has suffered from a sleepwalking disorder since childhood.
Jonathan Hutchinson, 33, said he remembers nothing of the alleged attacks, but he does recall waking up in the girl's bed.
Hutchinson faces charges that include aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.
Authorities allege the incidents took place in 2001 and 2002 in a home he shared with his girlfriend and her three children.
The prosecution plans to present its own expert, Philadelphia sleep disorders specialist Mark Pressman, as a rebuttal witness.

He molests children in his sleep!
I believe him. He is a danger to society and should be locked up. He could kill someone next time!

Dude its called Tequila. I know I've been a victim.
I never assaulted anyone (that I remember)
This joke of a human being better not sleepwalk in prison cause others might have the same disorder.

If only Emperor Billigula had been this creative...
"Honest Hillary, I was just taking a cat nap at my desk, and everybody was tired, and before I knew it there was Monica, sleepwalking into the Oval Office, almost dropped the pizza, and collapsed on the floor. She started sleep-crawling, and before you can say Felicity Fellatio, she was under my desk whiffing my woofer! And you KNOW what they say about not abruptly waking up somebody who is sleepwalking, right Hillary? Hillary? Why are your eyes closed?"
"Because I'm getting ready to commit sleepmanslaughter, you stupid a**!"

He was sleepwalking since childhood? and he has this documented right? His family doctor has all the files?
Somehow this was just now discovered, after he was arrested right?

there has got to be more to this story than a few lines.
That being said, my wifes brother was supposed to be able to go to the kitchen and eat a snack, find the HIDDEN house keys and be out in the garage or yard walking around w/o waking anyone in the house.
very weird, but definately need more info on this case...

I had an uncle that, in his youth, used to do a "tightrope" act on the guardrail around the second floor stairwell.. then would actually walk DOWN the stairwell on the handrail..
All while sound asleep..
My sister used to leaver her bed and go stand in front of someone (anyone) else while they were sleeping..
Scared the C**P out of me (and my parents) on several occassions..

Its a very bizarre situation indeed for someone who really is a sleepwalker. What is amazing to me is that on this forum, there are many who wouldnt give the guy a fair trial, but would give a conscious person the benefit of the doubt if were about a political decision.
Did your uncle and sister ever 'grow out of it'?
My wife says he [her bro ] seemed to do it less frequently as he aged, but it still happened on occasion thru his HS years. We dont know if he has had any in the last several years [ Been married 7 yrs tomarrow, gotta get a present 8^O]...

Hey chad, I know this is on old article but it was linked to a current post, so I happened to see this question from you..
Wasn't there a sleepwalking murder case some years back? I forget how that was resolved...
I can think of 5 cases off the top my head and they were all found not guilty because of their "condition".
There is also brand new case that was filed in GB, I think. The guy was arrested last month. Sleepwalking is his claim as well.
Unbelievable.
