God bless their souls.
One of the soldiers is from the same area of town as I am. I don't know him. I will keep on the lookout for any local news.

For each IED that kills an American, we take out a Mosque. Sooner or later there will be no killing or no more Mosques. I like the old Hammurabi code that originated in that area that predated Christ and Mohamed. Maybe the heathens will understand a heathen code.
I am tiring of watching my comrades die by the hands of cowards while we sit back and exact no revenge.

For each IED that kills an American, we take out a Mosque That would be nice, but you don't really believe that we'd do that, do you? We don't fight that way anymore.
Unfortunately, soldiers appear to be completely expendable to the political class.

Is this the same blast that Drudge was touting as his main headline/story yesterday? Matt's headline was something like "9 Soldiers Killed in Iraq". I remember 6 being killed in the blast + 3 others in a different incident. I hope these 6 are not in addition.
As for the story provided here, The National Guard identified the dead as:
# Spc. Bradley Gergeron of Houma
# Sgt. Christopher Banin of Houma
# Pfc. Armand Frickey of Houma
# Spc. Warren Murphy of Marrero
# Spc. Huey Fassbender III of LaPlace
# Sgt. 1st Class Kurt Comeaux of Raceland
Prayers going up for all as well as their family/friends.
May God bless.

You are not alone.
This is heartbreaking and I feel such retribution is in order - hell! long overdue.

Who are the Senators again who are so concerned about the "Geneva Convention" and treating the
prisoners terrorists with "respect"??
They get caught, info gets pumped out by any means, then....who cares.

Thanks for posting the names...my Spc son was worried that his boot camp buddy was one of these fine young men....sigh!

Please, Dear God, see that we are trying so hard.

What you said. I agree with taking out the mosques. If they don't get the message; on to Mecca.

Let's see, the way "this" and stop is for us to exterminate barely more than three cities in the Middle East.
Obviously Fallujah has to go, as does Tehran, but so does Damascus.
Would you care to enter the command codes for that?

We held the threat of nuclear obliteration of the soviet empire for 50 some years. It was mutual.
It's time to propose the same concept to the islamics. Mecca, Jeddah, whatever. Not mutual.

Heros Reward, by Neva Brooks
"Rest your head now weary Soldier. Cast your weapons to the ground. Close your eyes and feel the peace. The light of Jesus fold around.
Heed not our earthly battle cries. There is no post for you to stand. So rest now as he carries you within His loving hand.
Do not look back upon us. Disregard our selfish tears. Walk in the sunlight of the spirit free of war or pain and fear.
Your duty here is done now as ours will someday be, so go with Him now to places only heroes ever see."
May God comfort the loved ones...I am humbly grateful for their service and sacrifice for our country.

There's two elephants in the Iraq living room.
1) Support in the manner of men, materials, and financial aid is pouring in from Iran and Syria, maybe Saudi Arabia too.
2) Placing these IEDs along the roads cannot be done without the knowledge of some portion of the local populace. That in turn implies either some degree of complicity, and /or general terror of the 'insurgents' in the community.
