CRAWFORD, Texas -- As Asia suffers through a 9/11 of its own - a natural calamity instead of a man-made one, but at least 25 times more deadly - President George W. Bush's response in the coming weeks may well determine his success in repairing relations strained by three years of relentless American focus on terrorism.

Nice huh? This is what the left calls 'loyal opposition'.

I think the 'loyal opposition' needs a good a$$-kicking!

There's a pretty big difference between a natural disaster and a fanatical group of assassins. What can President Bush say: "You're either with us or you're with Mother Nature?"

I love how the Left is trying once again to make something that has nothing to do with President Bush, e.g. a natural disaster, as being all about him. These guys need to stop their Bush fixation.

And here's the difference between Republicans and Democrats: Republicans actually send relief aid to SE Asia because they are compassionate and want to help. Improving its image is completely irrelevant. This NY Time Liberal is absolutely frivolous and retarded.

Will the Dimocrats ever learn that President Bush is not a leftist stooge.

President Bush doesn't do things because of, or to enhance his personal image.

I'll give the Spew York Times credit. They are at least consistent in their mendacious, trolladytic stupidity. http://orsa.blogspot.com/2004/12/nyt-rouses-itself.html

Would dropping some MOABs on the fault line which caused this help? Well, maybe not but it couldn't hurt, could it?

"may well determine his success in repairing relations strained by three years of relentless American focus on terrorism."

Repairing what relations?

"But the aid effort that has now begun presents Bush with an opportunity to battle, with action rather than just words, the perception that took root in his first four years in office that he is all about America first"

Battling the perception "that he is all about America first"?????
And just what country should a U.S. president BE "all about first"????
Does he think the leader of ANY country isn't "all about" their OWN country first??

It really is a sick little fixation isn't it?

Basically, it's, "Bush has a chance to throw around some money and exploit this tragedy to make America look good." Typical liberal thinking.

There should be a rule. Before anyone can print an article like this, a disclaimer should be printed detailing in dollars and cents exactly how much the author has donated out of his/her own pocket, and what percentage of his income the donation represents. If the answer is zero - then they should shut up about what the rest of us should do.
