Hillary Clinton tops list of most admired women; Oprah Winfrey a close second

PRINCETON, NJ -- President George W. Bush tops Gallup's annual survey of the "most admired man" for the fourth year in a row. Hillary Clinton leads the most admired woman list, with Oprah Winfrey close behind. Republicans and Democrats differ significantly in their views of this year's most admirable men and women. Republicans overwhelmingly say the president is the most admired man, and also name first lady Laura Bush and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice as the most admired women. Democrats, meanwhile, are most likely to mention Bill and Hillary Clinton as the most admired man and woman.

Most Admired Men

Nearly one in four Americans name George W. Bush, without prompting, as the most admired man this year, according to the Dec. 17-19 CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll. Former President Bill Clinton, who recently underwent a quadruple bypass and opened his presidential library in Little Rock, Ark., comes in second place, with 6% of respondents mentioning him. Rounding out the top five most admired this year are Secretary of State Colin Powell, at 5%, former President Jimmy Carter, at 4%, and the Rev. Billy Graham, at 3%.

Something is terribly wrong with the female poll. Media must be trying to set Hill up and asked only rats. I don't believe it.

You're right. Something isn't right with the female side of that poll. It's normal for a president to get the male side of that poll, but Shrillary getting the woman vote isn't right.

Woah, I nearly reported abuse instead of posting reply, probably would have been appropriate. What a bizarre world of misdirected admiration.

Didn't they say woman? I can't believe Hillary is the most admired one. What's wrong with this picture?

Hillary stands a good chance to be elected in 08 based more on her anatomy than her ability. While the country needs someone with proven ability in administration, 1/2 of the country will vote for her because she has a history of menstruation.

Hillary is dangerous and we should never grant powers to the President today that we don't want Hillary to have tomorrow.

I think the fact that Bush's 23 percent is MORE THAN Bubba's 6 percent and Hillary's 13 percent COMBINED, should tell you something.........

It's laughable that Hillary was voted 'more admired' than Laura? Think 1993 socialized health care. Think Web Hubbell. Think Vince Foster. Think 900 FBI files. Think Travelgate. Think rejected wife who was bested by Monica. Think billing records. Think cattle futures.

Surely, this witch of the west, who has had her hand in all things that promote Hillary, could not have possibly topped Laura as the 'most admired' woman if those who were asked were thinking human beings?????

Whe already know that Hillary will be an appeaser like her husband and all of the other libs.

The first question I would ask her when she runs is: Why did you stay with a man that has sex in the White House, lies about it, and the whole world finds out? Is this your way of saying that you will let people that can give you power, walk all over you and the US, if you are elected?

How could she answer any way but YES? She has proven that power is more important than self-respect or integrity. I think 8 of the last 12 years with that kind of morals is quite enough for this country.

Did you notice that at least in the Women's list, Martha the Crook, Stewart came after the First Lady. On the men's list, Bill the crook, Clinton and Jimmah the loony Carter, came before Tony Blair. Shame, Shame

This is nothing. The media's glorification of Hillary has not even begun.

Rest assured, the words "moderate" and "centrist" will be applied to Hillary in the next 4 years more than any other person in the history of civilization.

Get ready to see the Courics, Sawyers, and Lauers of the world have regular and repeated Hillaryasms.

Hillary will be a bonafide heroine with a halo around her head, while her opponent might as well have horns coming out of his head, so great will the difference in media treatment be.

What is so sad about what you said is that she will be treated the way you said, ALTHOUGH, there are quotes by her that (just like John Kerry) won't be used against her, but should.

Like last spring in San Fran when she gave a campaign speech telling the rich and famous that "yes, we WILL be taking money from the rich and redistributing it to the poor". Do you think she will ever be pinned down as a socialist, redistribute the wealth candidate? Heck, NO!!

Not if the MSM have anything to say---I just pray that by 2008, the FR and other conservative sites will have enough power to override the coronation of her "shrillness" Hill/Bill Clintoon.
