This thread is going to be seared - SEARED - into my memory.
Everyone knows about Genghis Khan, I want to know about Gengis Khan't!
"Isn't Genghis an ancestor of Kerry's? What was Kerry's father or father's eastern euro surname? Kohn? Sounds a lot like Khan to me."
Actually it's from Cohen, as in Cohenim, the high priests of the Hebrew temple, who are descended from Aaron.
And don't forget that for the women, it has Gerard Butler in a short skirt and bare chest!
Yum!
So, once one reads the first two paragraphs, it becomes obvious that they use Democratic double speak. The answer is NO, they have not found his burial site. They do know they are on the right continent.
All the more reason to find the tomb. Genghis was not a very nice person. We could dye the camel hair, perm it, hot roll it, and then beat the hell out of it.:)
Funny, I read an article two days ago that said 73% of the disosaur species are yet to be discovered.
I'll bet that was a surprise. The first temporary employment contract.
Oh no! Soon, he'll awaken, and control New York City with his uber-mental powers... and THEN he'll force some geeky scientist to make a super-powerful post-nuclear weapon out of the same material his currency was made out of... How can he be stopped? Only the Shadow can help us now...!
(God that was an awful movie... deserved the "Oliver Stone" award for totally butchering what should've been unbutcherable source material. Baldwin should've been exiled to France for that effort rather than just moaning about how he'd go there if Bush won.)

August 13 is the end of July according to the Julian calendar
I personally hope they have not, nor do they ever find his tomb. I think some things should be left to the realm of mystery.
BUT, if they have, I sincerely hope they maintain the site without plundering it. I don't expect them to, but one can dream.
Sexy Australian girl?!?!?! All I saw was the extremely hot and yummy Gerard Butler! There were chicks in the movie?
I think he was Immanuel's sinister alter-ego.
Ping me when someone finds Kubla's pleasure dome.
According to what I've read, an army went out to a specified point. At that time, the 800 soldiers and laborers went out. The soldiers camped and waited for the laborers who went out and performed the buriel at a spot unknown to the soldiers. The laborers returned to the 800 soldiers, not knowing the soldiers had orders to murder them all, so Khan's whereabouts would not be known. When the soldiers returned to the main army, they were murdered, in case any of the laborers had revealed the whereabouts of the tomb to save his life. The 800 returning soldiers did not know that they were going to be murdered either. It's been a few years since I read the account, so some other Freeps may be able to clear up any errors I made, but this is basically the account.
I've read the same or similar story.
