New York Times/CBS Poll
As most of you know, we here at Polipundit.com are not enthusiastic supporters of either the New York Times or CBS News, but there are some very interesting findings in their latest poll showing President Bush up 48%-45%. You can find the polls at the New York Times website. I cannot link to it.
John Kerry has a 41% favorable, 47% unfavorable rating. This is his worst rating ever.
President Bush has a 48% favorable, 41% unfavorable rating. That is his best rating since last December.
Undecided voters lean to President Bush 50%-47%, validating the Pew finding and calling the Gallup number into question.
66% of Bush voters strongly favor their candidate.
50% of Kerry voters strongly favor their candidate.
By a 49%-34% margin, voters expect President Bush to win.
President Bush has a 49%-44% job approval rating.
The right track today is 43%. In 1996, it was only 39%.
48% of voters will vote on national security issues; only 33% on domestic issues.
By a 54%-29%, voters believe the Bush Administration has made them safer.
53% of voters do not think that Kerry agrees with their priorities, his worst number ever. 42% believe he has the same.
48% of voters do not think that Bush agrees with their priorities. 49% believe he does share their priorities.
52% of voters think Kerry has leadership qualities, his lowest number ever.
62% of voters think President Bush has leadership qualities.
57% of voters are uneasy with Kerry’s ability to handle a crisis.
60% believe Kerry says what people want to hear. Only 36% say that about President Bush.
53% of Americans say we did the right think in Iraq. Only 42% disagree.
31% say their families are better off than they were four years ago. 40% say about the same.
Most importantly, the percentage of voters call themselves a liberal has declined to 17%, the lowest number since 1997. 35% call themselves conservative
Good numbers for sure. Just hope they are correct.
What is the party breakdown?
Any idea what the partisan breakdown of that poll was?
What makes everything great is, those delusional mental patients on the other side actually think they are going to win.
They really don't know how much trouble they are in on Tuesday. It's going to hurt real bad for them..
Remember all the 2002 senate races tightning up the final weekend, and the grand DNC victory, going to sweep them back into the House and Senate, and Jeb Bush being overthrown? HAH!
They stand no chance right now.

Why would the Islamo-fascists at CBS print anything showing a Bush "trend"? These guys have been trying to destroy Bush for months and now this poll? It doesn't make any sense to me. If this makes sense to someone else please enlighten me!

I'll tell you, when only HALF of your own voters are going for you - you haven't a prayer. Bush's support is at least 16 points higher when measured by levels of intensity support! Can you spell, E-N-T-H-U-S-I-A-S-M? Our side most certainly can!!!
Maybe they're trying to regain some last minute credibility before Tuesday's debacle?

I don't trust any poll. Especially one from See-BS or the NY Times.
Yes, and so can the millions of dimRATs who enthusiastically hate GWB.
If and when the beast runs conservative Republicans will be out in force to defeat her, no matter who the GOP candidate is opposing her.

These are the public and if they vote on Tuesday, we will all sleep very well that night.
Is it enough to counterbalance the votes of 6 million dead Democrats? That's what worries me.
Those numbers sound great. And if this is coming from CBS theyre probably even better.
The only thing that has me disturbed now is the Gallup poll showing Kerry ahead in FL. I hope Polipundit referring to it as "laughable" is accurate. I find it hard to believe too, since Bush was up there by 8 just 6 days ago! But something has to account for that swing.
I guess the Dems can have FL if Gallup is right about Bush picking up PA and WI, and holding on to OH!
