ELECTION DAY: THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
Announcement | Today | Martin A. Knight

VOTE & GET OTHERS TO VOTE FOR THE PRESIDENT!!!

There are only 5 days left before the Election.
Things To Keep In Mind ...

Ignore the polls.

Polls are meaningless at this time so close to the election. Remember that most of these polling companies are partnered with the Press. And I wouldn’t put it past them to put out and trumpet polls designed to discourage the President's supporters about the President’s chances or make us overconfident. Ignore the polls. They could just be another “October Surprise.”

All that matters now is turn-out. Vote and get others out to vote for the President.

It does not matter how far ahead either candidate is in your state, whether you’re in New York or Wyoming, keep getting out the vote. Even if Kerry is losing by a million votes, try to get it to two million. We need a popular vote victory almost as much as we need an electoral vote victory and for that we need as many votes as possible. Here’s why:

Ignore The Exit Polls. Ignore Press Announced Closing Times

First of all, the exit polls are conducted and/or funded by the Press, which makes them completely untrustworthy. I wouldn’t put it past Dan Rather to call Texas for Kerry on the night, or declare the polls in every Red state closed at 12 noon, or say that Bush is far out in front only to reveal the opposite after the polls close, in the hope of driving down the Republican vote.

Remember the Congressional Races.

We need a solidly Republican Senate & House almost as much as we need a Republican White House. If (knock on wood) Kerry wins, we need both the Houses of the Legislature to keep him from handing over the country to Jacques Chirac and Kofi Annan.

Republicans & Conservatives of all stripes in
OHIO,
PENNSYLVANIA,
IOWA,
COLORADO,
WISCONSIN,
MINNESOTA,
FLORIDA,
MICHIGAN,
NEW MEXICO,
NEW HAMPSHIRE
& HAWAII

it’s all on you guys.

Good luck!

VOTE & GET OTHERS TO VOTE FOR THE PRESIDENT!!!

What to do if you show up to vote and the election officials say you are not registered.

Here is the procedure.

First, be absolutely sure you are in the correct precinct. If you are in the wrong precinct, in most states, your vote won't be counted. If you are not 100% certain of your polling place, go to www.mypollingplace.com and check.

Alternatively, call the toll-free number 1-866-OUR-VOTE or your county clerk. If you are sure you are in the correct polling place and the officials claim you are not registered, ask for a provisional ballot and fill it out correctly. You are entitled to one by law. Politely, but firmly, insist on being given a provisional ballot.

One of the most bothersome features of voting for me is that some states allow would-be voters to REGISTER to vote on Nov 2nd! I think some of the discrepanies in voter fraud would be eliminated if every state had a registration cut-off date. Ours here in Illinois is the 1st week of October. This last minute rush to register voters is chaotic and almost impossible to prohibit fraudulent abuse of the privilege. The other flaw is in that motor-voter
registration at the drivers' license locales. All you
need there is a birth certificate or someone to verify where you live. Any alien stepping over the borders can
get a license and subsequently a voting ballot! It would be interesting to know how many Canadians are voting in our election this year!

I think a universal voter registration, voting regulations, recount procedures etc...should be enacted by Congress (even if only for the Presidential election).

This way everyone is covered under equal protection and everyone has the same rules and regulations for voting on the Presidency.

Having fingerprint ID for each voter set up in each precinct would be a fine way to eliminate a lot of voter registration fraud. NO 2 fingerprints could come up twice when voting right?
