WEEKLY READER

Posted on 10/25/2004 3:45:22 AM PDT by 7thson

Driving to work this morning at 0500. Listening to Andy Parks and Fred Grandy on WMAL. They mentioned something about the Weekly Reader correctly picking the President since 1956 but did not hear who they said was picked. I went to the Weekly Reader website but found nothing about any poll. Anyone out there know anything about this?

Also, since 1940, when the Washington Redskins win their last home game before the election, the incumbant wins. This week they play the Packers who looked really good yesterday.

I do not know you guys and dolls but I believe this reporting is getting to me. It is such a constant negative barrage against the President that if he does win, it will be against tremendous odds. I am starting to get nervous and think that Kerry will be elected. My nerves are getting frayed.

Courage man. We're going to figure out a way to thrive no matter how the election turns out. And remember, the press is full of boomers who believe that peace, love, and legal drugs are nirvana. Many of their parents are still alive. Their children know better.

Man... talk about a conflict of interest...

I am a Packer fan, but who to root for?

I'll take the Packers in a win, and a big win for Bush.

To ease your fraid nerves, I was at a friend's house yesterday, who's big in Wisconsin politics... and very liberal. He was depressed, and I asked why?

He doesn't see Kerry winning this State, or the election.

Now... go get a cup of coffee.

No.......... don't worry. Things are under control! The nuts, commies, and socialists will be vanquished!

And just to add to the charm, Teraaaaaayza has one or two more gin-laden white raisin gems to drop on America before the election so she doesn't have to spend four years in the White House.

Thank you all. I need the boost. Swerving off course, did you see the Packers game yesterday. Man, did they look awesome! I only hope it was because the Dalls D was so bad. The Skins - though 2 and 4 - have a excellent defense and I hope they can contain the Pack a little bit. I like the Packers - actually more of a Farve fan - but the Skins are my team. I'm rooting for the Skins!

I could be mistaken, but I am sure Rush announced it last week on his show.

Bush won the vote for our first grade level at a 3 to 1 margin. 38 - 12!

Do NOT be surprised if President Bush wins by a wider margin than even VP Cheney is predicting (52-47), because there are TWO factors at work that nobody talks about too much:

1.) When voters get ready to cast their vote, at some point they're going to remember that IF Kerry is President, that fool idiot Edwards will be ONE heartbeat away from the Oval Office. THAT alone is going to sober up a bunch of people.

2.) When liberals and leftists of all persuasions think that IF Kerry is elected, it will mean that Bush is totally unleashed to do ANYTHING he wants between November 3rd and January 20th 2005, they will weigh the risks of four more years of Bush with full accountability vs approximately 2.5 months of a President Bush unrestrained whatsoever, and even THEY will reluctantly (reluctantly for them) pull the lever for Bush/Cheney. If they believe even a fraction of their demented theories about President Bush, they will shudder at the thought of him operating without any fear of political retribution between Election Day and the Inauguration of (gag-choke-puke) John F'in Kerry.

So grab a cup o' coffee, we're eight days out, line up, nutz to butz (as they say in the Corps) and get it done for our Commander In Chief, GEORGE W. BUSH! HOOOOOOOOOAAAAAHH!!

"Pundits come and pundits go, but one group has quietly predicted the winner of the presidential election every four years since the Eisenhower administration: kids. Most political junkies won't give it the time of day, but the Weekly Reader presidential poll of schoolchildren has pegged every winner since 1956."

"This year's winner? George W. Bush — in a landslide."

"Most polls of adults put Bush and Democratic Sen. John Kerry neck-and-neck. But this one wasn't even close: Bush got 65% of kids' votes, while Kerry got just over 33%, says Weekly Reader editor Mia Toschi." "

Well, I certainly HOPE!

Saw a portion of the second half, but they did look good.

Certainly Dallas was not at full strength, and a big difference is Mike Sherman is now calling the plays for the offense. He's opened it up quite a bit.

Packers are still not strong at the secondary, but Grady Jackson's return to the interior line was a big boost for the defense.

I like that news.

Me too!

As I drive the rural areas of Wisconsin the signs are almost all pro-Bush.

Very astounding to a traditional democratic state.

Are you sure?

She sure seems to have the power bug.

I hope this is correct, 'cause I don't want her there, either.

Thanks for that poll.

I continue to believe that we are going to look like Australia's election.

A landslide.

I'm pretty sure that she wants to come back to her home (estate) in Fox Chapel, Pittsburgh and get away from all the bull. I'll tell you more later.
