Kerry's Newest Gaffe

Bloggers...get to work!

Today, John Kerry stated that we are fighting TWO wars...the War in Iraq, and the War on Terror. He said that Iraq was a diversion from the War on Terror.

For some focus-tested reason, f'nK is trying to separate these two arenas, just as the MSM has attempted to keep them separate all year.

Kerry's problem? Just last week, I heard Kerry state that W. had turned Iraq into a "terrorist haven."

Iraq cannot simultaneously be a "terrorist haven" and a "diversion form the War on Terror." Once again, Kerry's biggest problem is his own words.

Some talented blogger could really run with this by using their skills to find the appropriate quotes and setting them side by side.

Sorry for the short vanity, but the angle of attack needed only a few words, but did need attention.

The Clinton administration obtained a federal indictment against Saddam in the late 90's; the indictment mentioned Saddam's relationship with Al Qaeda.

Both the 9/11 Commission and Senate Intelligence Reports mentioned that Saddam was a state sponsor of Islamic terrorists for years, including Al Qaeda.

An Iraqi national attended at least one 9/11 planning meeting. Sounds to me like Iraq is the central front in the war on terror.

Maybe it would help Kerry if he'd actually attend an Intelligence Committee meeting or read the reports.

I am not a talented blogger but if I was an Iraqi citizen longing for freedom I would not be hoping that Kerry wins this election!

Kerry will pull out by August!

Those are great points that the American people will never hear.

We have 13 days until the election. Pointing out JFK talking out both sides of his mouth and getting that info to the RNC or Drudge or Fox News gets us one step closer,

Remember when we were just FReepers as opposed to "bloggers"? The MSM doesn't get it and now they try to define us. I hate bloggers. We don't blog. We FReep.

Brit Hume quoted Kerry saying on the occasion of 1000th death in Iraq that America has lost 1000 brave mean and women in the war on terror. I don't know the exact source, but Brit read it tonight.

Giving Kerry's meglomania his disdain for the America of our founders and his fondness for Marxist dogma he could very well define terrorists as any and all of those who are against John F Kerry

Amen! I am, and will always be, a FReeper! Perhaps a Pajamahdeen on the side, but NEVER a blogger...

Kerry toked too much weed in 'Nam. He's off his rocker. His wife is doing too many benies and booze too. Recipe for disaster for the White House; and the Republic of the United States of America. If he is sworn in on January 20, 2005, there should be impeachment proceedings for Treason for his actions in the 1970s. Everyone out here should get the Stolen Honor DVD and give it to your lefty liberal acquaintences and "undecideds" dopey acquaintences. I bought five and gave them to known lefties at Church. Karen came home from choir practice and said that we had scored "big time" with the sheeple. They are distributing the DVDs to their other liberal friends. So, for $100, we think we may have converted about 100 lefties to think about Kerry as unfit for command. Better investment than send a check for $100 to the RNC. They're pretty useless in conveying a message to voters. IMOHO

"The President's misjudgment, miscalculation and mismanagement of the war in Iraq all make the war on terror harder to win," Senator Kerry said. "Iraq is now what it was not before the war – a haven for terrorists."

"The President's misjudgment, miscalculation and mismanagement of the war in Iraq all make the war on terror harder to win," Senator Kerry said. "Iraq is now what it was not before the war – a haven for terrorists." 26sep04 SundayTimes

Mr Kerry said: "America is fighting, and must win, two wars: the war in Iraq. And the war on terror. President Bush likes to confuse the two. "He claims Iraq is the centrepiece of the war on terror. In fact, Iraq was a profound diversion from that war and the battle against the enemy."21 October 2004 Independent

Can anyone explain how Iraq can be a "haven for terrorist" and at the same time a diversion from the war on terrorist? Somehow the nuances escape me.

It's not that difficult to square the two remarks. When the Soviet Union tried to take over Afghanistan they created a war that inadvertently resulted in the training of future terrorists.

We even inadvertently helped by supplying arms and training to the future terrorists.

In Iraq you have some people there who are fighting for their particular visions of a future Iraq. Regardless of which way that all ends up, at some point in the future, those folks could take a breather from their insurgency in Iraq and use their arms and training to commit terrorist atrocities at any other point on the globe.

Also, there are others around the world who see what is going on in Iraq and are motivated to take up arms against the Western World.

So, yes, it is possible for Iraq to be a haven for terrorists without being a real part of the War on Terror.

I guess our great beloved Oceania is now opposed to the evil Eurasians. When China starts rearing its ugly head then we will join our Eurasian allies in opposing those evil East Asians!

Kerry has been "endorsed" by Arafat--who IS a terrorist. So Kerry, contrary to what he says, is the preference of Muslim terrorists.

Now when I see the bumper sticker that says "Vote for Kerry....Paid for by Osama Bin Laden", I'll know it's closer to the truth than even HE wants to admit!

And in the same speech, after he said Iraq was seperate from the war on terror, he added that we will prevail there. Like an after-thought.
